🌧 Don't expect me if I can't rely on you 🌧

⚠️Trigger Warning: mentions of abuse. This actually happened to me and a now ex-firend yesterday  but I won't be saying their names, they are not on here anyways⚠️

Alex looked at Laken with puffy red eyes and tears flow down his face "....So it's  over just like that?" "... I'm sorry alex, but I love him." Laken said putting in makeup, she was getting dressed for a party with the schools quarterback who was now her boyfriend. He treated Alex like garbage while Laken only apologized and did nothing else, Alex and Laken had been friends for 13 years and she's just throwing it down the drain.  "You seen the abuse, that's why you're friends are leaving you it's because of him. Their not jealous of you they are annoyed. He's mentally, emotionally, and verbally abusive, why don't you break up with him?" Alex asked as more tears streamed down his face desperately wanting to have his friendship "...Alex, this is the happiest and the best relationship I have been in for a long while" "You can do better, so much better" "...I'm sorry Alex..." she said looking at him with sadness in her eyes and tried to hugs him but the backed away confusing her "I'm not going to stand by and be bullied anymore...I'm always there for you and you're never there for me in the moment. Don't expect me anymore more if I can't rely on you when I need you" he said rushing out of her house almost getting hit by her boyfriend and just kept running until he got back to his horrible home and quickly went to his room and locked the door sobbing into a pillow. All those years wasted away...all for what....is there a point trying to repair something thats too shattered...what's the point of trying to be there for people if they won't be there for you when you need them the most too.
