"Love, saan ba tayo?" Tanong ko kay Miko. Tinatakpan nya kasi ang mga mata ko.

It's our anniversary today. I wasn't really expecting for a surprise. Okay na sa akin na makasama sya ngayong araw, but it seems like he prepared something.

"Come on, konti nalang." I can feel his rough hands in my eyes. I smiled as I've always known the reason behind it. This is one of the reason why I really fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I chuckled, yeah it was love at first.

"Why are you laughing, Thea? May nakikita ka ba? I told you don't peek." Nagtatampo nyang sabi.

I chuckled more with his wrong accusations. Excuse me, I'm closing my eyes kaya.

"I'm not peeking, okay? Matagal pa ba tayo?" I said and I felt him stop. Finally, I fell like my head's spinning dahil matagal akong nakapikit.

He slowly removed his hands from my eyes and hugged me from the back. My eyes are still adjusting to the light that's why I can't perfectly see the place.

"Happy Anniversary, Love!" He whispered softly and kissed my head.

I was rooted in my place the moment I saw his surprise. I am in awe the moment I closely saw it but later on, realization hit me.

I harshly turned to him and looked at him questioningly.

"A-ano to, Mi-"

"Hey! Bago mo ko pagalitan, I just want to let you know na mura lang lahat yan okay? Hindi ganon kalaki ang nagastos ko." He said and smiled cutely. I raised my brow at him and pointed the blue tulip that was preserved in a glass.

"I saw that on IG, and it's expensive." I appreciate alright? It's just that ayaw kong gumagastos sya ng ganito kalaki sa akin.

"Ah, yang lang naman ang maha-" I looked at him sharply and pointed the music box and the life size bear.

"Hehe, it's a prank! Matagal ko naman ng pinag-ipunan yan kaya walang problema, okay? Come on, love. I want the best for you on our anniversary, tsaka minsan lang naman ako nagbibigay sa'yo nito-"

"But I never asked for it! Sabi ko naman sa'yo diba okay na ko sa simple lang-"

"But I was never okay with it, Thea. I know you deserve more and I hate myself cause I can't give you what you deserve!" Panay lang ang iling ko sa mga pinagsasasabi nya.

I know this was always been his insecurity. He thinks he doesn't deserve me cause he can't give me anything.

"Come on, Love. Wag na natin tong pag-awayan, okay? Let's not ruin the moment. Hindi mo ba nagustuhan?"

"No, it's not that. I love it! To be honest, I really appreciate it. Ayaw ko lang na gumagastos ka ng ganito kalaki, okay? You should be saving for school." I said and looked at his surprise. It is truly amazing, but I know how hard it is for him to pull this off.

Miko is not like other guys. He's not financially stable and he's a scholar. But that doesn't made me love him less.

I first saw him in one of my favorite cafe. He's a server. Doon kami nagsimulang maging magkaibigan hanggang sa nauwi dito.

I don't want him spending so much on me because I know he's saving for the board. Kaya naman laking gulat ko when he prepared this for me.

"I just want to give you what you deserve. It looks great, right? I saw this on IG and many girls are saying that they would love it if their boyfriend gives them those things that's why I thought gusto mo rin. Gusto mo naman diba?" I looked at him and nodded happily.

Lagi nyang bukambibig sakin dati that he also wanted to give me those things. I am not really demanding nor requesting him though. He probably got the idea on social media.

"Well, I know you're not like them but you appreciate it right? Promise hindi na ulit ako gagastos ng ganito kalaki. Of course, except kung graduates na tayo. I will definitely spoil you." He said and hugged me tightly.

I sighed and lean my head on him. I am not really that materialistic. Good thing I'm not though.

I am not like those other girls na laging nagpaparinig about extravagant surprises. I am contented with Miko' special ways that always make me ecstatic. Just the mere going out with him and having deep talks are already enough to surpass the feeling of being surprised grandly.

And besides I love him because of what he makes me feel whenever I'm with him. I love him for just being him, and not with what he can give me.

His special ways are already enough to make me fall for him even more.
