Since Always (Ace x Reader)

Confession?

Today was the day and it felt like it dragged on forever, the show wasn't until that night, so you had the whole day to waste luckily for you the girls came over to get all dolled up at your place. While they spent the day getting ready you made lunch for them and Nami decided to ask what they had all been wondering.

"When are you going to confess to Ace that you love him?

You spat out the drink of water you had just taken a sip of and stared at her before responding, "I see you managed to keep the events of tonight a secret." You smiled at Robin who simply smiled back.

"Wait does that mean you are going to do it at the show tonight?" Vivi questioned.

You simply put your finger to your lips in a hushing motion before winking at her, "That's a secret guess you will all have to wait to see." They all groaned at you before digging into the food you had made.

You kept lunch light with some sweetened egg omelets and some rice, after you had all finished eating, they dragged you into the bedroom and started to work on your hair. Robin made sure they kept the make-up to a minimum of just eye liner and some light pink lipstick. When they were done and happy with the way your makeup and hair looked, they started working on each other. You watched the group of girls fawn over each other and had to smile at how much they supported each other regardless of how different they all really were.

As the time got closer you all changed into your outfits before they all decided to shove you into the car when it was time to go. You checked your phone one last time to see if you had anything from Ace when he still hadn't sent you anything you decided to send him something.

Me: Is it ok if I still come to the show tonight?

Fire Fist: Do whatever, I don't care.

His response hurt and you were starting to wonder if this was a good idea after all, Robin placed a hand on your leg in reassurance and you gained a little of that confidence back. Koala and Rebecca gushed over how gorgeous you looked and that the heels they picked out matched the outfit Robin chose so well, you couldn't help but smile in agreement, the outfit as a whole really was perfect.

Me: We still on for operation falling?

Ducky: Operation falling is a go!

You smiled at your phone before putting it away in your pocket, Robin nudged you, "You feeling nervous yet?"

"Extremely, what if he turns me down, or worse what if he is still mad at me?"

"Only you would find him being mad at you worse then him turning you down." She chuckled at you.

As Kaya pulled into the parking lot your nerves started to eat away at you, but you kept repeating to yourself that you had came this far there was no way you could back out now. The seven of you entered the building and made your way over to where the guys were waiting on you all to join them. Ace was standing there talking to Sabo and Marco but when he saw you making your way over he left heading back to the back of the stage. The smile you had from seeing him instantly fell, when Marco looked over and saw you after Ace took off he looked between the two of you confused.

When you stood next to him he placed his hand on your shoulder causing you to look up at him, "Did something happen between you two-yoi?"

Nodding you began to explain the misunderstanding which caused him to shake his head, but when you suddenly smiled again he knew you were up to something, "I take it you have a plan to hopefully clear up all the confusion-yoi?"

You smiled closing your eyes and nodding, "Sure do!" with that response though a man came up on stage bringing everyone's attention to him.

Zoro came over whispering something to you that caused you to light up when you saw what he was talking about and just as he went back to Luffy the man on stage announced the band and they came on quickly double checking everything before Ace started to talk. Your eyes were glued to him as he spoke, he looked amazing up there and your heart felt like it was about to beat out of your chest when he glanced at you then away. The band started to play and you made your way over to the side of the stage where stairs were leading up, the bouncer came over to say something to you but when you told him who you were they backed off going back to watch over the rest of the crowd. True to his word Saber and Deuce had insured that you wouldn't be able to be stopped from going through with this grand scheme of yours.
