George was awakened by a movement in the room. He felt the bed move as Dream got out of bed. The sun was low in the sky and the light had yet to shine through the make-shift curtains that hung over the windows. George had yet to open his eyes. He was not a morning person. But the smell of bacon that came wafting in from the kitchen was enough to convince him to get up.

"Good morning George." Dream smiled, flipping the bacon in the pan.

"It smells good, I haven't had bacon in a long time." George walked over to the taller watching him work.

"I caught a pig the other day and decided we should celebrate our little 'reunion' with some good ol' bacon."

George's stomach growled at the thought. He leaned against the counter. He took a moment to admire the boy in front of him. The shirt he wore accentuated his muscles and tightened to show off everything underneath. Dream began pulling the bacon out of the pan and placed the pieces on plates. George smiled and eagerly sat down. They sat across from each other.

"How could I forget!" Dream hopped up walking over to the cabinets.

"Forget what?" George asked, his mouth full of bacon.

"Hot sauce." Dream poured a hearty amount of hot sauce onto his plate, placing the bottle onto the table.

"I'm sorry, hot sauce? How did you even get hot sauce?"

"It's great. Ate it this way since I was young." Dream dipped his bacon into his hot sauce.

"But how did you get hot sauce? I mean it's not like we can drive to a grocery store or something."

"Piglins. Got it for some gold." George laughed.

"What a waste of gold." Dream winked at the brunet.

"Speaking of piglins, we need to go to the nether."

"Why?"

"I need to get some stuff and I don't want to leave you alone here in case they find you."

George simply nodded. He didn't want to argue and knew he wouldn't stand a chance if more than one person found him. He stood up clearing the table and washing their dishes in the sink. Dream had gone off to prepare to go to the Nether. It had been a while since George had gone. It was dangerous. And hot. George didn't like to be sweaty. But he wouldn't mind seeing Dream all sweaty.

No.

Bad George.

George blushed at his own thoughts quickly leaving the room to go to their bedroom. Their bedroom. George took off dreams clothes, which he was sad about, to put on his old ones. Thankfully Dream had washed the blood off of them. Dream poked his head in.

"Are you ready?" Dream frowned slightly seeing George back in his own clothes. The pair made their way to Dreams hidden Nether portal. They walked in a comfortable silence. When they reached the portal Dream held out his hand.

"When we go in don't move. I will pull you out. Trust me." George grabbed his hand and stood in the portal. His hands were large and rough. He enjoyed the feeling against his soft ones. The room started spinning as they were teleported. George did as he was told waiting for the blonde to pull him from the portal. When he was tugged out the pair stood on a small platform that hovered over a large lava lake.

"Oh my God Dream," The smaller boy clung to the other, "Fuck- I don't like heights."

Dream wheezed and led them to safety, "George, you can open your eyes now."

George opened his eyes and let out the breath he didn't know he was holding. Looking down to see the floor beneath his feet he slowly let go of Dream.

"A warning would have been nice."

"You wouldn't have gone through if I had told you."

"You're right I wouldn't have."

The two walked off carrying a small conversation as they went. Dream led the way going through paths and tunnels finally making it to the fortress. Before they entered the dream pulled out his shield and sword.

"Stay behind me. I only have one set of gear." The two stepped into the fortress.

"I feel like I should get an award for being here."

"Is my presence not enough?"

"No. No Dream it's not."

They had reached a long corridor leading to the blaze spawner. Luckily they hadn't run into any wither skeletons. George hid behind a wall while the blonde fought off the blaze. George watched as the taller easily dodged the fireballs and stabbed the mobs. Unfortunately, George's show was over quickly when the blonde collected his rods and shoved them in his bag.

"All right, I've got to do some trading with Piglins, and then we can go home." The brunet nodded, still trying to focus and regain composure. Seeing his friend all sweaty was attractive. Lost in his thought he blindly followed Dream listening to him ramble on about this great deal he had recently got on ender pearls.

He was ripped from his thoughts when he heard the loud scream of a Ghast. He screamed loudly as he fell through the floor when the fireball made contact with the fortress corridor. He held onto the ledge tightly. Dream got down pulling him up, George landed on his chest. Dream grabbed his bow, shooting the arrow twice, killing the Ghast. He scooted his way behind a large wall. Separating them from any more mobs coming their way.

"Holy shit." Dream rubbed small circles onto the smaller's back trying to calm him down.

"Dream I almost died. Like I- you-" George stuttered burying his face into Dream's chest.

"I know, I'm sorry. I should've been paying more attention." The pair just sat in each other's embrace relishing the feel of safety.

"Can we go home?" George finally broke the silence.

"Yeah, this is enough Nether for today."

As they made their way back to the portal, the smaller boy clung to the taller. He was not risking being thrown off a high place anytime soon. And if he was going down he was bringing Dream down with him.

It wasn't long before they were back in the world. George let go of Dream and flopped on the ground. Dream missed the boy's touch.

"I am never going back in there. I almost died. And I'm sweaty" Dream laughed.

"Come one, I know this place we can go and cool off."
