Walker found himself in a familiar location. The woman and child Walker condemned to an instant inferno were staring back at him.

"This is where it all went downhill." a familiar voice stated.

"Colonel?" Walker nearly shat himself when he heard that voice. It was the late Lieutenant Colonel John Conrad, seemingly in the flesh. "What are you doing here? I shot-"

"You shot a mirror with me in the reflection after I was already dead. I'm in your mind, Walker. I'm not a ghost you can shake off your guilty conscience. I am as much a part of you as any limb, folicle of hair or tooth. Wherever you go, I'm there."

Walker took aim, and fired his AA12. "Shut up, Konrad!" The shells plunged into Konrad's torso, and forced him on his back. Walker let out a battle cry and prepared to crush the Colonel's head in, but right as he forced his weapon into the ground, it only struck burned sand. Konrad's body was gone.

"What the fuck?"

"I just told you, I'm in your mind. You can't escape me. I will always be here to remind you what horrors you committed. You can shoot me, but you cannot silence me, Martin."

"Why is everyone calling me by my first name, now?" Walker asked himself.
