JANGMI
Recently I'd seemed to have picked up a habit of waking up in unfamiliar places.
The first occasion being the first day of me living with SeoJun, when I'd realised what I was sleeping on was not my bed, and the place where I was resting was not my house.
The second occurrence took place yesterday, when a very surprised JungKook had found me lying on SeoJun's chest on the couch, and subsequently lying underneath him on the floor.
Today's variation however was actually quite similar to the SeoJun incident, this time though, the chest which I was resting on was Kim TaeHyung's, and the couch I'd lay on had been upgraded to an actual bed.
On this particular happening though, the time of my awakening had been much earlier - (or later depending on which way you look at it)...
In any case, the situation was as follows...
Around 3am I'd stirred from my sleep. I noticed almost immediately that the body next to mine was TaeHyung's, and, as I looked around, I realised it was still dark.
Not dark like late night dark, or early morning dark, though. Dark like pitch black middle of the night dark.
Lifting Tae's arm from my waist I leaned forward to the beside table, flipping over my phone to confirm my suspicions, which, as I thought, had been correct. It was indeed the famous 'witching hour'.
Looking at the lockscreen of my phone, the time wasn't the only thing that surprised me. Notification after notification was stacked on the screen; and they were all from SeoJun.
Standing up worriedly, I tiptoed over to the far end of the room, where I was sure I wouldn't disturb Tae and checked my phone volume was on low before playing a few of the voicemails he'd left me.
They started off pretty agreeable: 'JangMi, I need to know when to start on the Ramen so tell me what time you'll be back ok?'
And then they became a little more annoyed: 'JangMi - are you deaf or something. I didn't even want to watch this show in the first place but I'm making the Ramen now so tell TaeHyung to talk to you tomorrow and come home.'
They even bridged on worry for a minute: 'Yah! Jeo JangMi! Why aren't you picking up?... Are you in trouble?... Blink twice if you're in trouble - oh. No that isn't it... I can't see you.' There was a pause before he continued 'Did you get caught there by their managers? Or a Paparazzi? Do you need me to come get you? Ugh, just pick up okay?'
And finally, he seemed to have had enough of worry because he crossed over completely to anger: 'Fine, Ignore me!' He shouted. 'Get kidnapped, or mugged or taken hostage for all I care! I'm eating all the Ramen without you okay? And I'm going to watch the show without you too! Who even stays out till midnight and then ghosts everyone? You're lucky I don't tell HeeGyeong!'
I jumped a little at the sheer volume of SeoJun's voice. On further inspection I could see his texts had followed the same pattern and largely they said the same thing.
I had been so swept up in everything going on here in Hanam with the boys and with Tae that I had completely forgotten to cancel my plans with SeoJun. I hadn't even had my phone on me for most of the day...
Biting my lip I thought about my options. There was no way I could stay here overnight. But it would also be difficult to leave.
Biting down on my lip I checked to see if any drivers were available. Obviously unlike normal people I couldn't just call myself an Uber or a taxi - but I didn't really want to ask Tae to drive me there. I knew he wasn't keen on this whole SeoJun and I living together thing after all...
