Hey guys! What do you think of James? Aaron? Let me know what you think, and if you're enjoying this you know what to do :-) Thanks, Sarah

I heard a car door shut outside and glanced at the clock. It was already 5:30, meaning I had been studying for three hours straight. My neck was aching, I was starving and the math was only starting to make even a little sense. I sighed as my dad came in and settled a bunch of grocery bags on the counter.
"How was your first day?" he asked glancing at the textbooks spread open around me.
"Well I wouldn't say it was good...When's supper going to be ready?" I didn't want him to worry any more than he already did.
"Oh ok. How about you go down to the beach, take a break. Supper will be awhile yet." He gave me a small forced smile, he looked so tired and worn out.
"Wait! How was your first day on the job?"
"It was actually really good, everyone's so nice. You would know; I love my job." He always brightens a bit when he talks about his work, most adults I talk to do exactly the opposite.
It was the first day of June, and you could almost feel summer coming. I sat on a log that had washed ashore, and did nothing. The beach was becoming my place to think, it was peaceful and the crashing of the waves was almost soothing.
I heard footsteps coming and looked up to see none other than Aaron. He took a seat beside me, neither of us speaking for a few minutes. I was wondering if he was going to say anything at all until he finally said,
"I don't know exactly what happened at lunch today, and you don't have to tell me. Or Brooklyn. But I want you to know that you can tell us anything, whether it be now, or in a few weeks, months even years. Friends stick together no matter what, through everything." He looked over at me and I could tell he was dead serious about this.
"How do you know that you want to be my friend? It's only been 24 hours since we've met; I mean how can you be so sure of this?" I asked because back home, it took weeks before someone was conidered your friend. You would have them over, and if they fit in, they were invited over again. If not... It was like initiation.
"When things are meant to be, you just know," he stated shrugging.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," I said, knowing in my heart that he was.
"Meet anybody special today?" he said smiling big. He meant a guy. I was tempted to ask him about James, but decided against it. That could wait. "No," I said laughing a little " Who do you like?" his eyes lit up.
"Ohh yes! Do you know who Mason Stewart is?" I shook my head no, "well, he's the most popular guy in school, soo hot. Only he's about as straight as a post, maybe you would have a better chance." I laughed, my stress leaving me. We talked for a while, just getting to know each other better, and it was fun. Maybe this friendship would work out after all.
At supper my dad asked me about Aaron, and I almost choked on my pasta. He thought I liked Aaron! I burst out laughing and my dad looked at me with a confused look on his face.
"Dad, Aaron's gay." He looked relieved but had the manners to say sorry. He probably won't ask me about any boys for a while now and for that I was thankful.
I headed down to my room after supper and must've immediately passed out. Suddenly someone was calling out to me.
"Skylar! You need to help me!" I didn't know where I was exactly, surrounded by woods on a path, but I always seemed to come here in my dreams. The voice was all too familiar and I spun around to see Justin standing there, a normal healthy person besides the look of terror and hurt in his eyes.
