Part 10 Monster to Moisturizer

It was 7 pm. Still, Arnav's team was working. Being a manager of the GI, Shyam was also there with them. Khushi decided to wait until they finished the work. It seemed the work was not going to finish soon. She called Shyam.

*Yes, Madam...*

*Give the team an off tomorrow...*

Shyam wondered. He couldn't believe what he heard was true.

*But madam...*

*For you too...*

*The show is closed in...*

*We have almost finished the preparations... So, don't have to worry about it. *

Shyam nodded ok. Khushi sat on the chair and observed the work. The team looked at her unbelievably when Shyam told them about the next day's OFF.

*But why?* Arnav asked.

*I don't know. She didn't say the reason. Maybe, it's because we are working late...*

*Is she that kind?* NK asked getting amazed.

*she is the one who declared leave for our team... so, she is certainly that kind...* Shyam said.

*It seems MONSTER is becoming MOISTURIZER...* NK said in a feeble tone and others chuckled softly.

*Ok, guys... come on, complete the work...* Arnav said.

They started doing the remaining work. Arnav was supervising all of them, one by one. In the working interest, he didn't see the big size Halogen light over his head. The light was being tied up with the use of rope to do the work at night. The knot of the rope got loosened. It was getting down slowly and no one noticed it. It will fall in a few seconds for sure.

Khushi raised her head and she looked at the falling light. In no time, she ran towards Arnav, shouting his name.

*Arnav... move... move...*

Arnav looked at her, not understanding why she wanted him to move. She reached him in a blink of an eye and pushed him. Arnav fell down in shock. In no time, the light fell to the ground and broke into pieces with a loud sound. She stood, panting hard. People who were working there were shocked. More to their shock, Khushi rushed to him and sat kneeling in front of him.

*Are you alright?* she asked with concern.

Arnav nodded yes and stood, dusting his dress. His friends surrounded them.

*Who tied the light up?* Khushi asked, furiously.

The employee who tied the light a week ago gulped hard. Before he said anything,

*It's me...* Arnav said.

The employee looked at him confusingly. Khushi frowned and couldn't believe it because she had seen him doing everything perfectly.

*Stop the work and leave all of you...* Khushi said and left the place.

The team members looked at each other wondering. The employee who tied the light rushed to Arnav and clutched his hands.

*Thank you Arnav... thank you for saving me...*

*That's ok...* Arnav touched his shoulder.

*let us go, guys. Madam Ordered.* Shyam said.

*Yeah...* NK said.

All of them started dispersing. Aman circled Arnav's shoulder and Arnav lifted his left eyebrow like, WHAT?

*NK is right... The monster became Moisturizer... especially towards you...*

*Shut your damn mouth...* Arnav shrugged his hand off from his shoulders.

*She gives us OFF... lets us go home before completing the work...*

*She is a woman... she too has mercy...*

*Oh... but, where was the mercy a few days ago? Why all of a sudden... after you helped her?*

*She just saved me... what's wrong with that? We also do the same... won't we?*

*She is not like us... she got a name monster from us... she is melting towards you, dude...*

*Goddamn... let me go...*

Arnav ran from the place... no no... ran from teasing Aman. Arnav also sensed the difference in Khushi's behaviour but he was not thinking the way Aman thought. There was no such doubt in his mind about Khushi. It was true that she changed. He didn't know why. He didn't think she changed just because he helped her. Then why did she become soft? He didn't get anything.

Khushi was thinking about the focus light accident. Arnav was already a patient... adding to it, the light was about to fall on him... Thank God, she saved him. She huffed in relief with the satisfaction of saving him.

The next day

When Khushi entered in, she saw Arnav coming out of his cabin with a file. She stopped, seeing him and so did Arnav.

*You are not working for me but my father... doesn't mean you shouldn't avail the day OFF given by me* She asked with a smile.

Her smile captivated Arnav.

*Not like that ma'am... I'm on leave only. Shashi sir asked for the file... to take the file only I came to the office...*

*Dad is not at home. He went for a checkup...*

*Oh... then I will meet him in the evening*

*Go home and take a rest... don't waste the leave...*

Arnav smiled at her.

*See you* Khushi left the place.

Thank God, Aman & co was not here. They would have killed him by teasing him... Arnav supposed.

He called Shashi but Shashi didn't attend the call. He knew Shashi went to the hospital for a checkup but he thought Shashi will answer his call. Maybe... he was with the doctor. Arnav reached home thinking that.

*Chotte, you came soon?*

*Today is OFF. I have to go to meet Shashi sir in the evening.*

*You said the program is closed in...? Then how did you take a day off? Your Madam is going to burn you alive...* she laughed.

*She is the one who gave our team a day off* he smiled.

*You said she is arrogant?* Ratna asked unbelievably.

*She was...*

*What about now?*

*She is not like before. She has changed a lot*

*She must have known about your efficiency... or... anything other than that?*

*I helped her one day... after that, she became soft...* Arnav said casually.

*She is a girl after all...* Ratna said.

Arnav nodded yes. She was not what he thought. She should have been strict to get the company under her control in the beginning. She was not wrong. Being a woman, it's not easy to control mankind. Arnav thought in her favour. He came to his room thinking of those things. His mobile rang. Shashi called him, seeing Arnav's missed call.

*Tell me Arnav...*

*Sir, the file is ready. I will come home if you allow me...* he asked Shashi's permission politely.

*I'm in the hospital... it will take the time it seems. Shall we meet in the evening?*

*Sure Sir...*

*Ok...*

They disconnected the call. Arnav lay down on the bed to take a rest. Not because Khushi said... it's because he was really tired.
