Himeko's Hobby Gunpla

After their break, the students returned to Noct and Akaya for their gunpla building lesson.

"Alright, let's get this show on the way shall we?" Noct gleefully said as he brought four boxes of gunpla model kits and gave it to the students. Each box carried different gunpla units such as the Zaku II, Graze, Leo, and a Kapool.

"So... what are we going to do with these?" Eiji asked while holding the Graze. He looked at his friends and saw what they got, Shiro has the Kapool, Jimi has the Zaku II, and Ritsu got Leo.

"Since none of you can follow my... method. We came up with something easier for you to do." Akaya said.

"It's mostly me that came up with this though." Noct added, earning a punch to his shoulder by his wife.

"WE came up with the idea." She punched Noct again when he snickered. "Shut up."

"We're going to use these to train your skill. The most basic of basics, the grunt units of the series. You four are going to make these bad boys stronger than your personal gunpla. If you're able to do this then enhancing your gunplas will be easy peasy in the long run."

"So we build this thing and then what? Hey Shiro what do you do with the gunplas to make them stronger?" Jimi asked.

"Well... I mostly stick to the series stuff. Yours is based on Zaku II so I made the parts tougher and covered the armor with anti beam coatings. It's definitely an improvement over a normal straight build Zaku."

"That's all you did? Your friend there said it's defensive power is second to none, I thought you did more than that." Akaya said bluntly.

"Well... it survived onslaughts from enemy simulations and our spar. And it is the toughest out of all our gunplas. So before the test it's technically second to none." Shiro explained sheepishly.

"But then Daiki trashed it twice and from what he blurted out he also lost to the Psycho Gundam simulation. So that second to none claim clearly doesn't hold water." Akaya's remark came like a gut punch to the two and they slumped on their seats.

"In our defense it's Jimi who claims it's the toughest."

"Oh reeeeal supportive dude."

"You're welcome." Eiji replied with a smile.

While the boys were bickering, Akaya asked to borrow their gunplas to examine it again. She inspected each of them briefly before putting them down.

"Honestly this build is fine but it's just kinda average." She paused to think about what the students can do to improve their gunplas. "Hmm... having only these don't help much. Let's see you four build those grunt mobile suits first, we'll see what we can do from there."

And so they began to build the models they were given with Akaya and Noct overseeing their progress. While the students are busy building the models, Daiki went home and exchanged a short goodbye with the students.

They're all building the models just fine but it's slower than Akaya would've wanted, especially with Ritsu and Jimi who keep checking the building instruction sheet every few seconds. Not a bad attitude to have so that your gunpla is built correctly but it makes making gunplas slower than she'd like but that's just her though.

Ritsu and Jimi definitely needs improving, some parts of the Zaku looks a bit loose and Ritsu joined those pieces a bit too tight on her Leo. Eiji is doing fine, his Graze would probably be a good one but honestly it's a bit average. Shiro's Kapool is... actually looking good, I guess the Kapool will be one of the better one among them. Akaya criticized the group as she watched.
