Ginny stared at Harry. Something wasn't right - he'd just recovered from another vision and frozen, like he was processing something. He'd spoken very little and Ron and Hermione were too focused on some other topic - Nagini. More specifically, how to get to her alone and how to kill her, destroying the last horcrux. They looked frantic but excited.

Ginny turned her attention to Harry.

"Harry?" She tried, setting a hand on his shoulder. He flinched, like he just realized she was standing there at all. He looked at her with an odd amount of calm. "Harry? Are you alright?"

He didn't respond, instead looked her in the eyes solemnly. Without warning, he pulled her in for a strong kiss, his hands in her hair. She was shocked, but didn't pull back. It was so urgent and sudden, but said so much. Ginny felt a pit in the bottom of her stomach.

He pulled away suddenly, and opened his mouth to speak, only closing it again at a loss for words. He was shaking now, and he turned away from her.

"Harry. You're scaring me." Ginny whispered, stepping back as though she were trying to get a better look at him. "What did you see?" He didn't respond.

Harry looked away from her, his head turned to the floor. He looked stressed but weirdly calm at the same time, and Ginny tried walking up to him, her eyes filled with tears already. Something wasn't right - she could practically feel it in the air. Blinking rapidly, she set a firm hand on his shoulder. "You're going to tell me what's going on. Now."

He finally met her eyes. They were so strikingly green - so bright they looked like they were glowing. She always seemed to get lost in those green eyes. Now, they were clouded with tears. Ginny felt her throat close up.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. Ginny's heart stopped for a moment. No. Stop. He was lying. She was thinking irrationally, he wasn't going to d-

"I'm the last horcrux - other than Nagini." He spoke suddenly, his voice oddly wavering. He couldn't meet her eyes, his already clouded with tears. "I think I've know for a while, but-

"No. You're lying. You're lying to me!" She cried, walking back and pointing at him wildly. "You can't - no. It's not true." Harry looked up to blink back tears. He didn't look back to her, as though ashamed. Ashamed.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He whispered, his voice cracking a bit at the edges. Such short words, but Ginny still knew what he meant.

She couldn't bare to think about him just hurt - how was she supposed to deal with his death. How was she supposed to go on? How was she going to wake up every morning and know he won't be there with her when she wakes up? How was she supposed to live every fucking day without him there, without his comfort, love and touch? How was she supposed to go on knowing she'd never talk to him, never hear his voice again?

"Stop. Don't you lie to me, Harry Potter." She spat angrily, her anger taking advantage of her once more. It always seemed to flare up in her most emotional moments. "You aren't doing it. You can't give yourself up, so stop that idea right now." She took a deep shuddering breath. "Stop. Stop. Stop." She whispered to herself, tears streaming down her face as she looked at his stupid handsome face. His stupid face that said he'd already made his decision.

"Ginny..." Harry reached out to her gently. She took one look at his outstretched hand and threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck as she stood on her tip-toes to meet his eyes directly.
