Day 7) Amusement Park/Plushies

A/N: Well here we are, the last prompt! This takes place in a modern AU where Lumine and Childe are on a date in an amusement park. They just went on some rides on the roller coasters and are now checking the amusement park's arcade which includes the crane game (or claw machine) filled with plushies and things may get a little competitive between the couple heh.

I hope this a good short story to leave this chilumi week story on! :D

(Also I have many chilumi fanfics in the planning for the future, one of them being a high school au and another being an adventure book for the two. They won't be out for at least a month for personal reasons but I hope you enjoy them whenever they're published! (: )

Childe sat down on a bench after taking that enormous roller coaster.

It was a bit too much for him to handle...and he couldn't help but feel dizzy.

His girlfriend Lumine didn't seem to be as dizzy but she did have a hard time.

When she did finally regain her composure, she checked on Childe who was still feeling...clearly dizzy.

She sat next to him on the bench and patted his back. "Was that ride too much for you to handle? Didn't I say that it would be too much for you considering all of the other upside down rides you chose to go on right before?"

Childe said nothing, he just tried to regain his composure and lied his head on his hands.

"Well would you like to leave now? You seem pretty tired." Lumine asked.

Childe stood up and tried to turn to look at Lumine. "I think we should. Are you ok sith it?"

"Yep. I've done the most I can." Lumine stood up and stretched her arms

Childe yawned and started to walk with his girlfriend. "Alright then we should go and call an uber home."

Lumine nodded. "Sounds like a plan."

Childe was walking up ahead to the exit with Lumine until something caught the corner of his eye.

Then he stopped and stared at what caught his attention.

Lumine realised that Childe was no longer walking by her side so she turned around. "Childe?"

She faced where he was staring at.

Then she immediately understood.

There was an amusement park's arcade.

"Lumine, please, please can we go?" His eyes brightened up all of a sudden which was strange because he could barely open them from being exhausted and dizzy a moment ago.

Lumine chuckled at that random contrast and she was down with going to the arcade since she hadn't been in one for a long time.

And she hadn't been in an arcade with Childe before despite them dating for about five months now.

So she didn't hesitate at all when nodding. "Is there anything in particular you wanted to play in the arcade?"

"You're going to have to see that for yourself." Childe says with a smirk.

Now she was really curious to know what he liked to mainly play in arcades.

Before she could ask, Childe speeded inside.

"Get back here!" Lumine playfully called out as she ran to catch up to Childe.

How did he get his energy so fast, Lumine probably will never know.

When she caught up to Childe inside the arcade, he was exchanging dollar notes for coins with the guy at the counter.

That reminded her that she should probably do it too...

Childe finally saw Lumine when he was done exchanging coins. "Ah Girlie!"

"Don't run off without me!"

"Haha, sorry I got a little excited." Childe brushed off.

"You were just so dizzy and tired only moments ago, how did you-"

"Excuse me mam?" The man behind the counter was waiting for her to see what she wanted.

Lumine turned towards the man and apologised. "Oh! Sorry! I'd like to exchange my dollar notes for coins, please."

When she was done exchanging coins, she followed Childe to...what appeared to be a crane game (or a claw machine) filled with plushies.

"Me and my siblings came here a lot and I would always get the toys and would eventually give it to the younger ones if they failed in getting any. Gotta say, I prefer the thrill of what will happen rather than the reward itself." Childe put his hand behind his head and smiled awkwardly.

"So you're good at this huh?" Lumine smirked.

"A pro."

"Well I remember coming here with my brother but I would always get the plushies to the point that I had to share it with him. I wonder if you're better than me...probably not." Lumine playfully provokes him.

"Haha well then, you see that toy at the far back?"

Lumine looked in the crane game machine and saw that there was a large narwhal plush at the side. It wouldn't look easy at all to get.

She nodded and Childe continued. "The first one who gets that plush, is the best one at the game. Are you ready to spend all your coins?"

"......Let's go."
