I followed stealthily in the bushes. Prince Igarashi was limping, but I could see him trying to hide it.

Ooooh, trying to act strong in front of Prince Nanashima, hmm?~

I was disappointed about Prince Igarashi not allowing Prince Nanashima to carry him, but I suppose I can't complain too much.

We soon reached a small village, which wasn't good news for me. There was nothing for me to hide behind in the village, so I couldn't watch them as closely. And in my current dress, they would recognise me right away...

I decided to give up for today. I listened to the princes discussing their plan as they entered the village, and since it was getting late and Prince Igarashi was injured, they were just going to go to an inn and rest.

I wish I could see what they were doing inside the inn.

I watched for as long as I could from the trees around the village, and once it got dark, I was able to walk through the village freely. I stopped at a closed food stall and swiped an apple and some bread. I figured I'd probably get hungry on the journey. Witnessing yaoi takes a lot of energy.

I decided to sleep in the food stall for the night. After all, I needed to be close to the the inn so I knew when Prince Nanashima and Prince Igarashi left. I suppose I could sleep in the inn, but I didn't have any money. Besides, I was so tired I felt as though I would pass out at any moment. I needed to refill my energy as soon as possible so I can watch Prince Nanashima and Prince Igarashi tomorrow.

I pulled the cloth that was over the food and put it on the ground, then laid down on it and shut my eyes.

~~~
Prince Nanashima leaned in, presumably about to kiss me.
I put my hands on his shoulders and pushed him away.
"No! This is all wrong! You're supposed to kiss Igarashi!" I shouted.
He smirked and leaned in. I felt cold lips touch mine, then the coldness coated me, like a blanket...
~~~

"Hey! What the heck do you think you're doing?!" A man with grey hair and an apron asked me.

It was then that I realised I was soaking wet. And then I noticed that the man was holding an empty, dripping bucket over my head.

I quickly stood and tried to squeeze the water out of my dress.

"I feel like that was unnecessary," I muttered.

"Hey! Answer my question!" The man said, more forcefully this time.

It was then that I heard the doors of the inn open. I looked up as two boys walked out. I quickly ducked, then peered around the corner of the stall. They were walking, talking about something that I couldn't hear.

Prince Igarashi seems to be almost completely healed. He was no longer limping, which I suppose I should be happy about. Though I can't help but wish there were a few more cliches mixed in with his injury.

"What on earth do you think you're doing?" The man asked me, grabbing my arm and pulling me up.

I gasped, then turned my head so that the princes couldn't see my face. If they recognised me, that would be the end of it. They would never fall in love, and I would never get to see more cliches. My life would be over.

Luckily, they didn't recognise me. They did notice the commotion, though, and I heard them stop for a moment, though they must've thought it wasn't anything important and continued walking. I was more than a little surprised, since I was still wearing my sparkly, teal princess dress, and my hair was in a braided crown around my head. I looked just like a princess.

Then I thought... I'm dressed like royalty, so why is this man treating me like this?

Once I heard the princes continue walking, I stood up straight and brushed myself off.

"Excuse you, sir. Don't you know who you're talking to?" I said.

I had never used my status as power like this before. I hoped the man couldn't tell how nervous I was.

The man snorted. "A muddy thief? Yeah, I know."

I blushed with embarrassment. What did he mean, a muddy thief? Sure, I'm a thief, but I most certainly am not muddy. Not to mention, he has a sign on his food stall that says KINGS TOP APPLE PROVIDER, so surely I have the right to eat food that goes to my family anyways!

"I will have you know that I am not muddy, nor am I a thief. And also, my father, the king, will be hearing about this. I'm sure he won't want to buy apples from you after that." I said, putting my hands on my hips.

The man threw back his head and laughed. "Your father's the king? Next thing I know you'll have magic powers!"

I clenched my fist. He doesn't believe me. And he's... he's laughing at me.

But that's not even the worst of it.

The worst part is, Prince Nanashima and Prince Igarashi are all alone in the forest, and I'm not there to watch!

I bet they're making out or something super hot like that, and I'm missing out! I need to leave this town, and fast.

I looked for the apple and bread I had taken. Then I saw the bread sticking out of the man's bag that was over his shoulder. I took a deep breath, then grabbed the bag and ran.

"Hey! Stop! Thief!" The man shouted.

I didn't stop.
