Slippery

The next day

You woke up the next morning with a small headache. 'Great.' You murmured. You slowly turned your head to the nightstand. You forgot to put your phone in the charger. You plugged it in. And went to the bathroom to get a shower, finally done you got into the Redbull outfit. 'Y/n your done?!' Max called. You opened the door. 'You're so early.' You said.
He handed you a box. 'Happy birthday.' He said.
'Wait. Is it my birthday?' You asked. Max laughed. 'How can you forget?' He said. You took the box. 'I think I can. Ahaha well thanks Maxime. Not angry at me?' You laughed. 'Just a little.' He said.
'Open up.' He said. He closed the door behind him. You sat down on the couch. And opened the box. 'Awwwwwwwwww.' You said.  'You really bought me a new phone?' You laughed. 'Well yes you've thrown it at me!' He barked. 'Thanks Max.' You said and gave him a hug. 'Let's install that phone together then we'll go to the track for the first training.' He said. 'Yes sir.' You said.

When you two were done installing, you and Max went to the circuit.
Arrived you prayed that you wouldn't throw your phone at nobody. 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' Charles said.
'Hey Charles!' You said. 'How's my little Verstappen.' He said. 'I'm not little.' You said.
He laughed. He handed you a gift. 'I know you're a nerd.' He said. 'So I'll recommend you'll start reading again.' He said and winked. You unwrapped the gift and it was a book. American Sniper was the title. 'You'll be going to America soon so you'd better get the right vibes.' He said. 'Thanks Charles.' You laughed.  'Maybe I'll buy a sniper too.' You laughed.
'Okay let's don't do that.' Max said. 'You don't trust me, do you?' You asked. Max grinned. 'Nope I don't.' He said.

You and Max walked further through the paddocks. 'I trust you on it that you don't throw your phone.' Max said.
'I won't I promise.' You said. 'Good good.' He said. 'Happy birthday Verstappen.' Daniel said who came out of nowhere.
He gave you a hug and also Max. 'I see grey hair already.' Daniel laughed. 'Thanks.' You said.
'Well let's enjoy the first training, the track is slippery because they just cleaned it.' Daniel murmured. 'Oh they did?' You asked. Daniel nodded. 'Yep.'
'Oh well good luck you both.' You said.

When Daniel went away you and Max walked to the garage. Where they all wished you a happy birthday. You thanked them and then an hour later the first training started. You hadn't talked to Lando yet. Because they were busy with their cars so you didn't want to interrupt them. Both orange cats were already on the grid. And Charles spun. It was really slippery, it was difficult to find grip. That was good to see.
