Louie was packing his bags. "Ugh. Now what?" Louie asked. Suddenly, a shadow appeared on the wall. "What do you mean?" Chloe asked. "What if I'm not here when they break me out!" "Oh. Just text them." "I'll call them." Louie went over to the safe and took out a phone. He dialed a number and waited. "This number is not available. Please leave a message after the tone." it said. Louie hung up. "So much for that idea." he grumbled. "Just text them then. They're bound to see it eventually." "Yeah, but what if they see it after we've come back and they don't come rescue us because they think we're gone!!" Louie said. "Ok. Ok. Chill. We just gotta find a way to ruin the trip." "How?" Louie asked. "Uhh. I haven't gotten that far yet. Hehe." Louie rolled his eyes. "Wait a second..." he said, staring at her. "I don't like where this is going." she said. "Oh, come on! You're a shadow!" Louie exclaimed. "Yeahhh, I kinda figured that out a longgg time ago. I'm surprised you haven't." Chloe said, rolling her eyes. "That's not what I meant. I mean, you're a shadow! You can go around, show yourself to them, make them chase you, and destroy a few things along the way! We can't go on an adventure when the mansion is trashed!" he explained. "I know you love destroying things." he added. "Ugh. Fine." she agreed.
"Great! Now, you should change your look. Try to be scarier." he said. "What? Why?" "Come on! This is a great chance to scare them! They're not gonna be very scared of a girl." he explained. "In my defense, the shadow of a girl who isn't there can be pretty creepy." Chloe countered. Louie rolled his eyes. "Come on. I guess if you think about it, you're a bit creepy, but think about how much cooler you could be!" "Fine."
The shadow started to lose shape, until it was just a blob. Then it took the shadow from some of the things in the room. Then it got bigger and bigger and bigger, until it covered Louie's whole room. "Awesome!" he shouted. "Here, I'll shrink so you can see what I actually am." The shadow started to shrink. Then Louie saw what it was. "Wow. Nice." he said.
The shadow was a wolf, but it wasn't normal. It had a mane on it's neck, but the mane was made of purple fire. It's paws were covered in purple flames. It's claws were extra sharp, just like it's fangs. It's eyes glowed purple. It had a sort of aura around it and, of course, it was purple. "Watch this." it growled. It swiped and clawed right through a book. But that's not all. The book then set on purple fire. "I have an idea!" it growled. Then the shadows from everything in the room went sailing towards the phantom wolf. They stopped beside her, and soon, she had a pack of phantom wolves. "Alright! Now, go destroy stuff that isn't mine, and ruin this trip!" Louie shouted. The wolves nodded and disappeared through the wall.

Louie ran downstairs to check out what was happening. He was surprised to see Lena and Violet there. He couldn't risk having Lena ruin his plans with her magic. He mumbled a few words, and the wolves were surrounded by a green aura. In a flash, it was gone. "Good." Louie whispered to himself
Chloe didn't show herself immediately. She made an entrance. There was an earsplitting howl. Winds began to blow, harder, and faster. "What's going on?!" Webby yelled through the howling winds and the actual howling. Then a mist began set over the room. "What in the world...!" Huey shouted. Then there was more than just one howl. The phantom wolves walked through the mist, eyes glowing. "Ahhh!" Dewey screamed. Webby tried to kick them, but she just went right through them! "They're shadows!" she shouted. "But where did they come from?" Huey asked. "Wait! I'll defeat them with my magic!" Lena shouted. She held out her hand and a sphere of water appeared. She threw it at one of the wolves, but it bounced right back at her, and soaked her. "What?!" she shouted. The family was shocked. Now the wolves had a defense against magic too!?
Louie smirked at this awful failure at magic. "Just like Magica said..." he whispered to himself.
