hoseok stirred in his bed and slowly opened his eyes so that they wouldn't be hurt by the sun, which was shining through his bedroom windows. he looked over his nightstand and with quick move grabbed his phone.
february 18th was shown on its screen along with time and other stuff: like notifications and birthday wishes from his friends and family.
seeing the message he got made hoseok's heart go all soft and his tummy fill with love and care. he unlocked his phone, smiling like an angel, and went straight into messages. a message from his mom, his dad and his friends along with some staff and people that he knew.
after answering them with a simple thank you (with just a few heart emojis, or maybe more) hoseok locked his phone and threw it somewhere on the bed, knowing that he's gonna regret this action later.
he then stretched his arms and got up to start a new day, filled with happiness and fun. just as he was about to open his bedroom door someone opened it before him. on the other side of the door frame stood the three youngest members.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY HYUNG" all three of them shouted smiling like crazy. they had always been first to congratulate hoseok in person. wish him a happy birthday and many other positive things, which made the rapper's eyes teary and little red.
"thank you guys so much" hoseok happily said hugging all three of them tightly to show his love and that he is thankful that he has such amazing friends.
"ahh, i'm gonna cry... like always" hoseok muttered and wiped his, for now, non-existing tears. "hyung you know that crying is okay and is very important right? so cry all you want and don't save these tears for later on" jimin announced with a wink and smirk on his face.
"ahh since when are you such a genius? hm?" rapper asked the younger and ruffled his blonde locks. "you are hanging out with namjoon too much. next thing you know jimin is gonna be next after joon" hoseok joked around and everyone giggled at their hyung's stupid joke.

"happy birthday hoseok" the second oldest rapper heard while he was sitting on a barstool in their dorms kitchen. hoseok then turned back and saw his hyung yoongi standing in the middle of the dining room, looking small and fluffy.
"thanks, yoonie" the birthday boy cheerfully said mentioning yoongi to come to sit with him with his hand. "did you slept well hyung?" he asked while looking over the elder and giving him a small smile.
"how did you know?" yoongi asked with raspy morning voice, throwing his right hand over hoseok's shoulders. "your puffy face and bed hair says it all hyung" the younger answered and ran through yoongi's black and silky hair.
"MY FRIEND, HOSEOK HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I LOVE YOUU" shouted seokjin loudly, in his hands holding a cake with candles on it. next to him stood their leader namjoon, who had a big smile on his face from jin's loud voice.
"thank you hyung," hoseok said while running slightly to where seokjin and namjoon were standing. "wow this cake looks amazing" the younger added when he saw the cake jin was holding tightly in his hands.
"of course it is. i made it so it has to be the most beautiful and the most delicious" seokjin proudly said with a big grin on his face, which quickly went down when he heard joon giggle quietly.
"ahh. don't laugh here namjoon. we all know how good of a cook you are" jin fired and namjoon instantly went quiet. "happy birthday man. wish you to be your best self and to never lose your sun. okay?" hoseok heard namjoon say.
"thank you, guys. thank you so much... y'all gonna make me cry" hoseok said and looked down where the cake was.
"come here," namjoon said and hugged hoseok. after him, yoongi, who came after hoseok when jin brought the cake, and seokjin both went to hug the younger.
"it's fine hoseok but i sure hope those are happy tears and not sad" seokjin muttered hugging the said man tighter.
a few seconds later the hyung line felt someone clinging onto them. "GROUP HUG" jungkook yelled and all seven friends stayed tightly hugged each other.
