"SO, DID YOU AND GINNY DO IT THEN?" ron asked loudly, as he and paris approached harry in the hallway.

harry and ginny had gone to hide the half-blood prince's potions book in the room of requirement, after harry's deadly duel with malfoy in the boys toilets, where he caused mass bodily harm to him after trying out sectumsempra, of the invented spells.

"you what?" harry jumped back.

"did you get rid of the book?" paris repeated more slowly, giving the boy a funny look.

"oh— um, yeah." harry nodded.

"ron! you haven't answered my question!" paris  sighed, tugging at his robes.

"what's wrong with you?" harry asked her.

"she's freaking out because hermione—"

"—she wrote in her letter that she loved me!" paris interrupted. "but, i mean— she did cross it out but... she didn't do a very good job of it. everyone knows that you dab an ink clot on your mistake, you don't cross it out—" she babbled.

"paris!" ron and harry both yelled, cutting her off. "what exactly is your point? it's not a good thing?"

"i don't even know why i'm asking you two. we all know you aren't exactly experts of the female sex." the brunette sighed. "i suppose it's not a bad thing. it's just— we've only just got together— sure, we've known eachother for longer than that and had crushes on eachother for longer than that, but—"
