there he sat in deep thought, regretting most decisions hed made. "if only" he thought, if only he hadn't come off so cold and mean. if only he hadn't turned down the beautiful hand of someone he did truly love. maybe he wouldn't be in this predicament. maybe if he was nice, if he hadn't started to build his ego so fast, and denied all those hands of friendship and growth. if only.

but he sighed knowing that there was no thought for looking back as he couldn't change that, nothing at all.

katsuki bakugo sat there at the top of one of the highest buildings in the Shizuoka Prefecture his legs dangling from the edge as he stared out small splatters of rain hitting him like pelts only weighing him down more. the weight on his shoulders, it was unbearable, he couldn't take it anymore. seeing y/n get married to someone else was the worst thing to happen to him. he no longer cared about being the best, about being a hero, they'd meant everything to him,l and hed gone and ruined it. 

he let a soft chuckle escape his lips as he thought one line repeating through his head 'take a swan dive off a roof' exactly what hed said to midoriya, the now number 1 hero after bakugo started to fall behind depression hitting him like a rock. if he were to be honest he missed the slightly shorter green male, and his cheesy smile and constant positivity. he'd recently been softening up to midoriya slightly, and before hed headed out of midoriyas apartment from a meeting on hero business hed left a small note on his desk under an all might figure that simply wrote 'goodbye'. hed done the same for y/n adding a small 'i love and will miss you' as he couldn't bring himself to not and just leave them alone without saying anything.

hed seen the smile on y/ns face, the love they now shared with there new partner.it shattered his heart and made it crumble at even the thought of it. he remembered their friendship in school, they were close, but as they grew older bakugo got more obsessed with his fantasies ignoring the small hints y/n would share. he regretted it, he wouldn't lie, hed acted like a coward, and he could never, ever change that.

he didn't want to ruin it, he cared for them to much. he could go over there, and kill the partner right now if he really wanted, and keep y/n for himself but he knew, deep down, that wouldn't work. they wouldn't truly love him, especially not like that. he didn't want to make y/n sad, he didn't want to make it worse than he already had, so hed stayed away, his heart slowly breaking bit by bit. 

he looked down at the street, people rushing around holding coats and things over there head to stop themself from getting rained on umbrellas floating around the crowds of people and cars floating by.

small tears formed in his eyes and ran down his cheeks as he slowly stood his heart beating hard in his chest. it pounded and hurt, and he knew now, this was the only way to stop the pain. as he turned around and slowly stepped back until his feet no longer touched solid and he fell back. the wind ran through his clothes and hair as tears slowly left his eyes flying above him as he fell back. and slowly, a small smile formed onto his lips, it wasn't menacing, devilish or evil, but a genuine smile. he closed his eyes letting the tears slip his eyes as he held his arms out waiting, for it to all end, and hopefully, be able to maybe experience propper happiness somewhere in the futer.
