Being a teenager again is okay, but it's different this time. In my first life, vampires, witches & werewolves only existed in books, t.v shows, and movies. Now they exist in real life and it's pretty cool. The only sad thing is that my "parents" died. It's only been three months and it still hurts.
Elara's P.O.V:
I had that nightmare again, it felt like I was drowning all over again. I felt like I couldn't breathe. I look at my alarm clock to see it's four in the morning. There's no way I'm going to be able to fall back asleep. I get up from my bed and head to Elena and I's shared bathroom. ( A/N- Jeremy has his own bathroom, lol.)

I take off my PJs and hop into the shower. Once I'm done, I get out and wrap myself in a towel. I go back to my room and see it's 4:15. Uhgg.

After I'm dressed, I go downstairs.
"Toast, I can make toast!"
"It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna." I heard as I walk into the kitchen. I feel a hand on my shoulder and a kiss on my forehead. I turn my head to my little brother Jeremy. We smile at each other.
"Is there coffee?" We ask at the same time. You would think we were twins instead of Elena & I. Jeremy takes Elena's mug and hands it over to me.
"Thank you, Jer Bear."
"You're welcome, El." Elena makes another coffee just for Jer to take it again.
"What am I missing? A number two pencil, lunch money?" Jenna asks, holding up some cash. Elena and I shake our heads but Jer takes it.
"Don't you have that big presentation today?" Elena and I ask.
"My meeting with my thesis advisor is... now, crap!"
"Go, we got this." At that, Jenna leaves. Once she's out the door, Elena looks at Jeremy.
"How are you?"
"Don't start." He then kissed my forehead and leaves. I look at my sister.
"We're all still grieving Elena, it's only been three months." Before she can say anything, I leave as well.
~~ Time-Skip to Mystic Falls High.~~
"Thanks for giving me a ride, Caroline."
"You're welcome, El." She turns towards me with a hopeful look on her face. "Are you coming back to cheerleading?" I take a breath and look at my best friend.

...
"You know what? Hell yeah!" Caroline screams and hugs me to death.
~~ Skip to being in the school.~~
I waved goodbye to Caroline and made my way to my locker. I pass the office on my way and see the 'hot' back of one Stefan Salvatore. My eyes widen. If he's here, Damon's not far behind.
"Hold up, who's this?" Bonnie. I turn my head to see that Bonnie and Elena have stopped next to me. And they haven't noticed me at all. No surprise there.
"I don't know, all I see is back."
"It's a hot back." I try not to snort. I fail miserably when Stefan turns his head slightly to smile in my direction. I gasp and continue to my locker. That was so embarrassing.
"Good batch, Man." I turn to see Jeremy and some guy doing a handshake before my brother goes into the bathroom. He's not the only one though. Elena must have heard what was said as well. Great. I follow my siblings to the men's bathroom. Gross. I walk in, avoiding eye contact with a part of the male population. I see Jeremy and Elena arguing Come on, Elena.
"Elena!" They both look at me, Jeremy, greatful, and Elena in surprise. "Stop fighting, the both of you!" Tears come to my eyes. "Elena, you need to stop acting like Mom." I look at Jeremy. "Go to class Jeremy, I need to talk with Elena." Jeremy gives me a kiss on the forehead and exits the bathroom.
"El-." I put up my hand to stop her.
"No, I'm done, Elena." The tears I was trying to hold back, stream down my face. "Just leave Jeremy alone." I sprint out of the bathroom, blinded by my tears. I bump into something, no someone. "I'm so sorry!" I look up to see... Stefan.
"It's fine, are you okay?" Instead of answering, I try to calm myself down but more tears come out instead.
"I-. My siblings are fighting and I don't know what to do." I start wiping at my face. He looks at me, concerned. "Why did I tell you that?" I look away from him and see Elena glaring at me. That's right, Elena and Stefan were supposed to meet like this, minus the crying. Instead of asking me to elaborate, he grabs my hand and we start walking down the hallway.
"What class do you have right now?"
~~ Time-skip to after school.~~
School is finally over. I'm home in my room, laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Today was hard but I think tomorrow will be better. Today my life changed. The Salvatore's are here and nothing will be the same.
"Death?"
"Yes, my child?"
"When are they coming?"
"Sooner than you think."
"That was vague and you know it." Before he can retaliate, there's a knock on my door. "Come in!" The door opens to reveal my brother.
"Do you want to watch a movie with me?"
"Sure." I sit up and follow Jeremy downstairs. After popping in a movie, we snuggle up to each other on the couch with a bowl of popcorn between us.
"I love you, Jer."
"I love you too, El." As the movie plays on the T.V all I can think about is what Death said.
