0230 hoursErica's POV
The dinner the previous night had been great. The hotel made a really good caesar salad (no bacon bits for me, since I didn't want the cals). Ben had pigged out on some Chicken Noodle Soup and some assorted vegetables. He even convinced me to get dessert, and we both had matching chocolate mousses. It was great.
After that, we had read up on all the info we could. There wasn't much of anything new. The crew had turned up no leads, and it looked like we would have to see what info Cyrus would get from his infiltration.
We were watching it unfold on the laptop screen, while another laptop had the alarm set up. There were still guards out around the building, but there was only 2, compared to the 5 or 6 in the daytime. I felt Ben's head on my shoulder as he leaned over and watched it.
Cyrus quickly took out one of the agents, who just slumped to the ground. When the other agent saw him, Cyrus chloroformed him, then proceeded to steal the keys. He went inside, and surprisingly, there were no alarms.
This made sense though, at the same time, since SPYDER probably didn't think anyone would go into that building for mischievous reasons.
The cameras switched as we watched him case the area. He checked for booby traps, but couldn't seem to find anything. He went behind a desk, coming up with nothing. However, he stumbled upon a button. He pressed it, revealing a secret area.
Mike had managed to detect all the cameras, so he knew there was more than the ones showing. Cyrus, therefore, knew to look for a secret area
In the area, there was a desk with a plush chair. There was a bookcase as well as a fireplace and couch in the corner. There was a countertop with a mini kitchen, and there was a frozen yogurt bar.
Just like their base in the gated community.
Cyrus cased the area, and seemed satisfied, so he grabbed his backpack and then put on some gloves. He grabbed everything of importance he could find, then proceeded to exit. He had just made it outside the door and across the road when the alarm sounded.
He quickly ran to cover and out of sight as we watched 2 cars pull up within a minute. They all seemed to be black SUV's with tinted windows. Out of one car came Joshua Hallal, Dane Brammage, and Ashley Sparks.
Out of another came some more agents that looked like the ones who had chased after Ben. Finally, out of the third one, a couple that looked to be about 50-60 years old came out. They were facing away from the car. They all hurried in and our access shut off. I assumed Mike had gone to work on erasing the feeds. I turned off the laptop, then smashed the bottom of it and ripped out the parts. They couldn't track us now, as Mike had said.
It was a suspenseful 30 minutes before Cyrus showed up. We all hurried to his room. He brought out the documents.
There were 7 pages, and 5 of them were on a report that Warren Reeves had wrote about his time at Spy School.
I guess they were trying to get the upper hand.
The other 2 pages had detailed a plan for their next operation, I assumed.
Operation Famous Stingray
To all SPYDER Operatives on this mission:
Our plans continue for the date of June 16, 2026, at 1430 hours. That is when the plan will occur. We advise you to stay far away from this area so as not to draw suspicion. Please be warned there are a group of CIA operatives on this mission. Take extra caution when in public and do not discuss the plans unless you are sure nobody is listening. Remember, we have survived so long because of our secrecy. SPYDER united.
