A/N

I've heard around the grapevine that there have been a few posts on Tik Tok about my story other than my own. If you post about my story, use the hashtag #ribsarminarlert! I love interacting with you guys as much as possible.

I will also be going live on Tik Tok once I hit 1k and I will be answering any questions you have about my story, writing process, advice, or about just me in general! I also wanted to use it as an opportunity to get to know you guys better too.

"Y/N," Said Porco, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly with the tilt of his head. "That's a beautiful name."

What a prick. You thought. After what happened six months ago, you had hoped you would never have to lay eyes on him or his over-gelled hair. You wanted to walk away right then and there, but Pieck was now your friend, and acting too sketchy would raise her suspicion and cause her to question you. So instead, you plastered a smile and straightened your shoulders as you held out your hand to Porco.

"Thank you, my parents gave it to me."

Porco took your hand and gave it a firm shake before letting go. You turn your attention to Pieck, crunching down hard on your teeth in attempts to hold in the impending feeling of needing to vomit at the turn of events.

"Hey, Y/N, are you okay? You look a little pale." Pieck asks, reaching out for your hand.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. You know what, Pieck? I think I will drink tonight. Gotta live on the edge, right?" A laugh erupts from your chest, overly forced and much louder than you expected.

Pieck and Porco shared confused and quite frankly concerned expressions, and you could see Annie looking at you from the side with the same flat face she'd been wearing majority of the time.

Annie still held your whiskey glass in her hand, but with quick movements you had yanked it from her and chugged the drink down your throat, swallowing it whole. It thoroughly burned your throat, especially since you didn't drink often, but you downed your despair and replaced it with false pride.

"Wow, that was good, can I get another?" You ask as you hand your glass to Annie.

Annie doesn't respond, but instead holds prolonged eye contact as she pours you another glass. You down it once more with a single swallow, and this time your throat burned a little less.

"Another, please."

You held out your arm to Annie, who had been watching your hand shake with a white-knuckling grip on the glass. Her fingers, slender and well manicured in a deep shimmering navy blue, plucked the glass from your hand gently.

"Whiskey isn't good for the way you're drinking it. How about I get you something else."

"Yeah, sure. Thanks."

"So, Y/N" Porco says, his eyes fixated on yours. Though he held a smile on his lips, ghosting across his face was amusement watching you drink away because of him. "You from around here?"

"They're actually a freshman at Marley, they just moved here." Pieck responded to Porco, despite him addressing you. Her face was full of excitement and light to have a moment to introduce her boyfriend to her newfound friend, but without breaking eye contact to look at his girlfriend, Porco responded to her with a deep purr in his words.

"I was asking Y/N."

He still had his arm wrapped around Pieck's shoulders, but at his tone made her posture slunk down ever so slightly and the light slowly dissipated from her eyes as they flicked between you and Porco.
