"Did you really have to wake me up at six thirty?" You groaned.
"Yep. We can't miss our flight, Batman." Chris said as he placed your suitcases at the back of the taxi.
You softly laughed, "I knew it was just a matter of time before you realized I'm Batman. You gotta keep the secret though."
Chris laughed, "These lips are sealed."
You chuckled and got in the taxi, followed by Chris.
"To the Boston Logan Airport, please."
The driver smiled and nodded.
Chris's cousin lives in Miami and the wedding was obviously going to take place there.
Thankfully you packed a few swimsuits.

"Chris!"
"Hey, Ma!" Chris walked towards his mom and hugged her tightly.
You had just arrived at the hotel and found his mom sitting with Scott in the lobby.
"Y/n?!" Scott walked towards you.
"Hey, Scotty!" He hugged you and you smiled.
"What are you doing here?" He pulled back and as he did so, Chris walked towards you.
He wrapped his arm around your waist, looked you dead in the eye and said, "She's my date."
Lisa's and Scott's eyes widened. Finally?!, Scott thought.
You looked at him lovingly. All you wanted to do was drop the act and make it real.
But there was no way you could do that. Chris would reject you and your relationship would get ruined.
Having to hide your feelings for him was eating you alive. However, you'd rather be his best friend than nothing at all.
"Oh, I knew you two would end up together." Lisa gushed, smiling from ear to ear.
You both turned to face her, blushing like a pair of dorks.
"Everyone is going to be so happy when they know about you two."
Chris chuckled, "Oh, boy. Don't scare her away, Ma."
The three of them laughed but you just blushed even harder.
Woah, no wonder why he's an actor.
"Anyways, we saved you a room, which I assume you'll share with Y/n, so just ask someone in reception to give you the keys!" Scott spoke rather quickly.
Chris chuckled and headed to the reception right away.
You laughed, "Thanks, Scotty."
"Oh, before I forget! Everyone is waiting for us at the restaurant so we should go, Mom. Meet you guys there? I'll send you the address."
"Uh, yeah! Of course. We'll just leave our things in the room and meet you guys there."
"Wonderful!" Lisa smiled and hugged you once again.
"Y/n, thank you. You always bring the best out of Chris and I'm so glad he finally realized how incredible you are." Lisa spoke as she pulled back from the hug and looked at you sweetly.
Your eyes watered a bit and you couldn't help but look past Lisa, and see him. He was leaning over the reception counter, looking back and winking at you.
You smiled and said, "He doesn't need me to be the amazing person he already is."
You turned to look back at Lisa, "But thank you so much."
She smiled and hugged you once more.
"Mom, we're gonna be late."
"Right. Sorry." She chuckled and pulled back
"We'll see you at the restaurant, sweetheart." And with that, they walked towards the doors of the hotel lobby, and left.
"Bye."
You smiled at them and turned to look at Chris, who was standing right behind you.
"I got the keys." He held up the room card.
You chuckled, "Let's take our suitcases to the room then. Your family is waiting for us at the restaurant."
He nodded towards the elevator, signaling you to get inside.
"I'll take our suitcases, munchkin."
Once you were inside the elevator, and it was taking you to your floor, it was pretty quiet.
Over and over, you repeated the words Lisa said to you.
Does Chris think I'm amazing too? Does he see me as more than just a friend-
Suddenly, your thoughts were interrupted by his voice.
"Hey, um. Once we're in the room, I'mma call room service and ask for a mattress and stuff. If they knock don't be scared, Batman." He said in a teasing manner.
"Wait, a mattress? Why?" You chuckled.
"Well, according to the receptionist, the room has one bed only." He turned to look at you.
"Oh." You bit your lower lip.
Chris couldn't help but notice and get slightly turned on by it.
"But, there's no way I can let you sleep on a mattress on the floor."
"But-"
"We can share the bed."
You kept looking at the elevator's doors without shifting your gaze.
Chris smirked.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. We're friends. It doesn't mean anything," you gulped, "Right?"
He turned his head and stared at the elevator doors as well, "Of course."
"But I apologize in advance. I kick in my sleep."
He turned to look at you as you spoke, and chuckled at your remark, "I think I'll be able to take it, munchkin."
Just as you turned to look at him, he shifted his gaze and focused on the elevator's carpeting.
You bit your lip as you admired him. His slightly red cheeks, rose lips, and even the thin strand of hair that fell upon his forehead.
Boy, were you falling hard for your best friend.
I hope you guys enjoyed! Vote <3
