"SON, I AM PROUD OF YOU. You are worthy to become the Alpha King," Jirayut, The King proudly claimed as He patted Suppasit's back. Mew had won wolf-to-wolf fights against multiple people, older than them. He was beyond impressed. Mew looked up to his father, and then looked straight ahead. He wasn't a talkative type of kid like his age, He was distant and cold. Never got scolded much. His father worries about him.

The King tried to find him a playmate or friend but they ended up being scared away. Mew did not do anything, and his father saw It. He said nothing.

"Why don't talk much, hm?" His father patted his head. "I don't want to," the young Suppasit replied. His father sighed and sat beside him.

"I get that, but to be a good King.. you have to speak up more and make friends to other people with power or not, in order to strengthen your socializing skills. And for you to speak to your Royal Subjects, son." The King stated.

"I will know how to deal with such when the time comes," Mew gave him a clear response on what He wants. His father gets angry at him sometimes but never bothered to scold him.

He also knew that Mew will be able to handle himself in the future. His son was too talented and strict for his age. He knew Mew was no fun.

Unlike his eldest, who was purely silly. He would run around not caring about how others think about him. He was a talkative person, a chatterbox.

Tong always loved to hide from his father and mother when He had something boring to attend to, which always made The King mad. But He also understood the reason for his actions. If He were in Tong's shoes, He probably would also run away from responsibility and problems. To be free, If He could.

So, He let his youngest son be The Crown Prince, He saw potential in him. He was capable and was sure that He will never abandon his duties as the future King of their world.

Knowing the fact that Mew will also take the offer of the position to not burden his brother. Even though He was distant, never said anything more than a sentence, Mew loved his brother.

Suppasit got up from his seat, faced his father, and spoke with a respectful, yet cold tone: "Excuse me, Your Majesty. But I have to go do the duties that you have given me." He then walked off to a room, his personal owning.

✦❘༻༺❘✦

It was his soon-to-be office. That spare room was given to him by his father, and He will be allowed to personalize It when coming of the right age. It was a gift in honor of his great contribution, and his talent.

Mew never leaves that room unless If needed or in case of an emergency. Nevertheless, did His Majesty and The Queen not bother to persuade him to come out. It was because they knew how determined He is to be a good successor and their world's King.

By this time, He is busy doing his assignments given to him by his teachers, personal teachers. He was being homeschooled. He wanted to be like other normal children, and had no business in The Royal Family. But He knew, It was impossible.

Though young, He was looking for his mate all the time. Of course, in secret. He would often shift into his wolf form to roam around the forests and large meadows. If there were wolves nearby, no one dared to approach him; afraid of what might happen.

He always wanted people to grow close with him and play with him, but that person is long gone. He lost all hope that would happen due to his power and rank in the officials, He was like an outcast.

The only person who bothered to play with him was his brother. They were each other's best friends. But gradually, Mew lost interest in playing games.

He and his brother, at such a young age, were talking about state affairs and politics. Tong always had the latest gossip of what goes in the government and keeps his brother updated. While He, has no time doing that. He had to study law enforcement, governing companies, and being a King.

Tong was free in the afternoon, so they talk a few times before Suppasit goes to training with several weapons and combats. Tong waits for him to finish.

He then sat on the cushioned chair, fixed his attire, and went to get his books. It was time to revise.

He opened one of his books and began to read; putting a quill and a paper on the table soon after.

--

After his studies, He went out to take a night stroll since It was now almost midnight, but the air was not still. Instead, the air was strong enough to blow a few strands of hair resting on his forehead.

Settling his crown and cape inside, in pajamas. He took them off as It was already late. Who would want to wear heavy accessories when they are about to sleep very soon. It's not like He's going anywhere.

Seeing a swift movement at the corner of his eye, He looked around as It shifted from one place to another. He did not let his guard down.

And then, He saw someone move from a distance. As Suppasit, of course, He ventured into the night; making his way to the stone path of the forest.

As He grew closer, He saw a boy: a lot younger than He is; leaning on a tree, sitting. Mew could smell his scent; strawberries and cream attacking his nostrils. That's when He knew, He was his mate.

He came closer, and knelt to reach his level. "Hello, what are you doing here this late?" Suppasit asked him. He stared before saying anything.

"I-I'm waiting for my parents. They said to wait here." He looked down, staring at the grass.

"What's your name?" His voice was sincere; gentle to the ears, waiting for an answer.

"Gulf.." His voice hushed like a whisper. A smile brought Itself on his lips. "W-What's yours..?"

"That's not important. Would you like some water to drink?" The boy nodded.

He stood up and walked away to get a cup of water for his mate. He happily filled the cup; rejoicing that He found his mate. Then, an idea sprung to mind.

He called his brother, Tong, through mind-link, telling him He had found the one and only of his life.

Tong immediately came to him and decided to join him back outside to see his lovely mate. But, when they came out, what they saw was far from him...

The clean, stone trail his mate stood in was now filled with blood and lumps they could not see from far away. Mew was almost in tears.

Going nearer, they realized the path was filled with blood, surrounded by the blood-drenched lungs and intestines; cut off from the owner as flesh rolled on the ground. Everything was splattered by the red, thick liquid; coating part of the trees, and leaves.

The lungs, and intestines that were on the ground were squished on the ground. Looking mushy and turned inside out. It was horrifying to see.

Mew fell on his knees as Tong felt blank. The two never saw anything this traumatic in their life. They just stayed there, very still; with their face stained with fat, painful tears. Eyes showing pain.
