16th birthday

As usual, Kageyama took his daily walks through the forest that was not too far from his pack's territory. Kageyama was belong in Karasuno Pack, which was the fifth biggest in the world. Kageyama suddenly remembered what his fellow friends told him a couple minutes ago. Apparently, they will throw a birthday party at his house this night, so they reminded Kageyama to come home a little bit earlier than the usual.

Yes, that's right. Today is Kageyama's 16th birthday. Earlier this morning, when he woke up from his sleep, Kageyama couldn't believe that he was already 16 years old, well he still is. All of those 16 years has passed so quickly, so quickly that he couldn't catch up the fact that he will meet his fated mate soon.

Kageyama sighed in despair. Even though he have prepared his mind and heart for this very day, he know that he was still afraid to meet his mate. Am I really going to be mateless for the rest of my life?

'No, you definitely will have a lovely mate by your side' A voice suddenly interrupted Kageyama's thoughts. Kageyama startled and quickly turn around to find no one behind him.

Am I hearing things? There's no one behind me.

No, you're not hearing things. *chuckle* I'm your inner wolf, Tobio.

Kageyama furrowed his eyebrows. Inner wolfs usually exist whenever their owner turn 16 years old because for werewolves, being 16 years old means that you're already an adult. Then again, Kageyama forgot that he already turned 16 years old today. If he already met his inner wolf, that's mean he can shift sooner or later.

Kageyama grimaced at the word 'shift'. Most of his older friends said that shifting was something that was so hard to do and painful to experience which make Kageyama afraid to shift. He hated pain so much that he couldn't describe it with words.

Hi my inner wolf...whats your name? I can't just call you Mr. Inner Wolf for the rest of my life, right?

My name is something that you can decide on. I will accept whatever name you give to me.

Oh okay...

Kageyama scratched his head. Well he was so terrible in giving names so he couldn't decide a name for his inner wolf. His name better be a cool one since it will stuck on him for the rest of his life. His inner wolf is a part of him. Kageyama widened his eyes when he finally found a great name that definitely will fit his wolf.

From today onwards till forever, your name will be Aoi. I choose this name because of my eyes. My eyes are blue in colour so I figured that maybe yours too.

Yes, you guessed it right. I really do have your blue eyes. Thanks for the name, Tobio. I love it so much.

You're welcome, Aoi. Kageyama smiled softly. Well this isn't bad. If he will be mateless, at least he got Aoi by his side. Kageyama glanced at the sky. The blue sky earlier slowly turned orange in colour, signing that it's almost evening. Kageyama took this as a sign for him to quickly return to his pack's territory. Not gonna lie, he was kinda excited for his birthday party this night. He promised himself to enjoy the time to the fullest.
