I have 2 problems.

One. Cuts are easy to see on wrists.
Two. I forgot to bring clothes in the bathroom.
"Shit." I mutter as I wrap the towel around my wet body and turn the loud fan thing off.
I knock on the door. "Vanessa?" I shout, and I hear rumbling in my room. "Uh, yeah?"
I sigh in relief. "I forgot to bring clothes in here..." I trail off.
"Oh! Yeah okay, we'll just be in the kitchen!"
I hear footsteps and then nothing, so I open the door and go out into my room, getting changed in a long sleeve shirt and skinny jeans. I put my hair in a side braid and look in the mirror. I wince.

I look terrible.

My eyes are still puffy from crying- why can't I look beautiful like all those other girls? when they cry it's like really pretty but when I cry it's like a walrus Choking. On air.

I sigh and go down the stairs, not caring about what I look like. Fuck it.
When I see my friends on the couch, watching TV, the first thing I notice is this:

Will has a lip ring.

I haven't noticed it before, so either I'm just really stupid or he just got it.

Either way, it looks really hot.
Dammit, I think to myself. He's not hot. Definitely not hot.

I sit on the floor, my back against the couch. Before I can even speak, Vanessa's phone dings.
She reads it and smiles mischievously.
"Time for another party bitches."

I pull on the tight black dress that hugs my waist. Since its strapless and I can't wear a jacket, I have a thick leather cuff around my wrist, hiding the cuts.
"Why are we here again?" I ask loudly as the music blasts from the speakers and the whole ground practically shakes.
"Because the most hottest guy is hosting this party, and you might get some." She replies casually.
I was about to tell her that she already has a boyfriend, but my jaw drops when she says the last part.
"Hey!" I smack her arm and she laughs.
We're sitting at the bar, sipping cokes in our skinny tight dresses, watching people dance (I know creepy right) and Alec is behind Vanessa, hugging her waist.
I almost sigh at the sight of them. I miss being loved.

I snap out of my thoughts when Will comes walking back towards us.
When he gets to us, he leans against my chair.
"Where did you go?" As soon as the words are out of my mouth, I regret them. I sound like a overly protective girlfriend. He just winks at me.
"Don't worry about that babe." I almost wince at the memories of this morning, but I don't get time before he's gripping my wrist and dragging me to the dance floor.
"I should ask for a dance, but you look like that kind of person that would punch me If I do, so I'm making you dance with me." He turns around and grins at me.
I laugh and put my arms around his neck. "Fine, why not?"
Don't make it awkward, don't make it awkward, don't make it awkward.
"So..."
Oh my god I made it awkward shit shit shit shit-
My thoughts are cut off when he places his hands on my waist, pulling me closer.
"I just make you speechless, don't i?" He smirks at me, and my eyes go right to his lip ring.
God damn that's so sexy. Why did he have to get that?
"Ahaha, no. So, um, is the lip ring new?" I ask casually as my arms lock around his neck loosely.
To my horror, he licks his bottom lip where the ring is, and I swear my knees wobble.
why is this happening to me?
He shakes his head. "No, I've had it for a long time. I just took out the ring."
I nod my head thoughtfully.
"What made you take it out?" I ask.
He shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know. I just did." I nod again and flick my eyes to it. I don't know what's so attractive about his with lip rings, I just think it's honestly so hot.
He sees this and smirks. I glare at him and open my mouth to tell him off but I don't get the chance because he rests his head on my neck. His breath hits my collar bone and I almost gasp at the proximity.
AWkWarDawKwARDAWKwaRdawKWaRD!!!!
Bells go off in my brain and I try to pull his head away from my neck, but all I manage to do is run my fingers through his hair.
Well that worked out, really well.
But then he lifts his head and looks me in the eyes and I don't do anything. It's like I can't look away- I don't want to. I can see his face coming closer, and I can hear him whisper my name, but I don't want to pull away, I just want to stare into his gorgeous eyes.
I can feel his breath on my lips but I don't get a chance to actually FEEL them because I'm pulled back.
"Omg, Everly, we HAVE to play this game!" Vanessa squeals and drags me to the circle of people standing in the middle of the room. I take a breath and try to push what just happened- or what almost happened- out of my mind.
One person starts talking about the game.
"Okay people, here are the rules. There are little slips of paper with numbers on them. We all pick a number, and then sit in a circle in order. Number one puts a lemon in his or her mouth, and passes it to the next person, number 2, without using hands or feet. We all pass it around the circle until somebody drops the lemon and they lose. Okay, ready?"
Everyone practically dives for the hat, trying to pick a good number, but I just lazily reach my hand in there and grab a slip. My paper reads 17.
I suddenly come to realize that there are only 17 people playing. I'll be the last person.
Maybe someone will drop the lemon before it gets to me, I think with fake optimism as I sit down next to number one, who happens to be a guy from school. Vanessa is number 7.
I'm sitting Indian style, fiddling with my short dress to make it not ride all the way up my back as people chatter and sip their drinks among me, but I look up when a person, number 16 im guessing, sits next to me.
I see who it is.
"Oh shit."
Will grins. "Such foul language for such a nice girl."
I whip my head at him and smirk.
"Who ever said I was a nice girl, Will?" It was a seductive voice, and if he was surprised by what I said, he didn't show it.
"Well we'll just have to se how bad you really are." He winks.
I meet his stare. "I look forward to it."
The game starts, and on and on the lemon gets passed. When it reaches 15, a girl with blond hair and a practically-see-through-shirt moves over and puts her mouth on Will's, giving him the lemon.
No no no mo no no no fúck shit no no oh my god-
My thoughts get cut off when will faces me.
The lemon is in between his teeth and, even though the room is loud, it's like everything stopped and nobody is talking.
His face closes in on mine, and right when I open my mouth and start to close my teeth to grab the lemon, Will opens his mouth and let's the lemon fall, and my teeth gently sink into his bottom lip.
And then, all of a sudden, his lips are completely and totally on mine, Desperate and frantic as our tongues find each other, and my stomach squeezes, and I take my hands and bring them to his hair, grasping tightly. I don't know what I'm doing at all- no thoughts are left in my brain as his teeth graze my bottom lip and his lip ring is cold against my lips. I'm not thinking about Vanessa. Or Jay. Or school. I'm just thinking Will. Will. Will. His lips on mine. It's addicting.
I can taste the faint sour taste of lemon, but it just makes the kiss even more delightful.
He pulls back and his lips are about to find my jaw when every thing suddenly snaps back into focus.
The noise, the smells, the people, the setting. I push him away and straighten myself.
Everyone is looking at us. Some guys are whooping, some girls are glaring at me, and some people aren't really paying attention. Vanessa is the only one with her jaw dropped- the she looks completely shocked. I am too. I think.
Will climbs off of me and only then did I realize he was practically lying on top of me. I don't look at Will, and from the corner of my eye, I can tell he doesn't look at me either.
"Will, bro!" Someone shouts and tackles him. "You lost!" As Will is pushed out of the circle, his eyes meet mine for a few miliseconds before it's gone again and I face the front and trace patterns on my bare leg.
What a game.
