reading.

he honestly spent his free period reading, studying, and doing homework like some damn nerd. he felt like a protagonist to some sob story romance movie, which was irritating. because his life wasn't a romance and it sure as fuck wasn't some damn sob story.

it didn't help that the weather decided to take a slight turn with light showers and heavy drizzles of water. it added to katsuki's progressively plummeting mood as he shouldered his way through the halls of the school to make it back to class.

he really hoped those stupid hearing aids would be done soon. he just wanted to go back to normal. the aids would probably be annoying, but anything would beat the feeling of burdening the extras he'd learned to call his friends with his quirk issues-

he bumped into someone.

probably cause he was walking too fast. too much on his mind, in his arms- notebooks falling to the floor. why did he keep them in his arms, anyway? he never usually did and maybe this was the reason.

to avoid dumb shit like passively looking down at the girl he just knocked over, trying to scramble his things and shove them back in his possession. despite the fact it was probably his fault, he was immediately gonna throw the blame on her just because irritation crawled up his neck at the way she looked.

fucking. annoying.

he held himself back, "could you watch where the fuck you're going?" his voice was strained as he pulled his belongings from the girl who clumsily climbed back to her feet. "could've ruined my damn papers," he pulled everything back to his chest tightly, almost protectively.

he watched as the girl blinked slowly "huh?"

katsuki blinked as well before kissing his teeth, shuffling his feet and narrowing his eyes at her. "did ya' not fuckin' hear me?" ironic that he'd say that, he supposed. "watch where you're going, you klutz. you could've ruined my stuff." he traced over her, she was holding a small bag. "important stuff unlike whatever shit you're holding."

the girl blinked again, lips pinching and brows pulling, "this is important." she held it up a little.

was that all she pulled from his words? apparently she didn't give a second thought to the name calling or harsh tone his voice presented. why was that irritating him even more?

"fucking whatever," katsuki mumbled before going to push past her. he was stopped when she gripped the sleeve of his uniform, pulling him back in the slightest. katsuki frowned, "what the fuck do you think you're doing?"

she didn't say anything when he turned around completely, but used her other hand to grip his wrist. she said something and then looked at him, expecting a response. he didn't catch that. katsuki's eyes darted around in just mild, minimal panic before he frowned, "what?"

the girl bit her lip. whatever she said must've been mumbled and she was playing with her lips too much to read them. katsuki growled in frustration and tore his arm away from her, "fuck off."

he gripped his books tighter and pulled his bag in front of him to shove them inside. they're what got him into that entire mess in the first place. damn stupid books. he gritted his teeth and clenched his fist, then dared to take a look behind him.

she was looking at him.

what was with that look? katsuki didn't like it. he's seen that kind of look in a pair of eyes before. in fact, hundreds of times when he fixed himself up in the mirror. the look of pain- clear as day, layers and layers, shielded and masked, too- almost like a defense mechanism for the look in the irises itself.

why was she giving him such a stupid look? katsuki huffed and faced the front again, stomping faster.

what a fucking weirdo.

what a fucking weirdo
