"where are you headed?"

"where are you headed?"

"my manager prefers to meet up at their dorm," katsuki watched as kirishima smiled at kaminari, holding up his phone. "or- pr person? i don't know, she kinda handles it all, i guess."

"i think mine's more focused on public image, which i'm super hyped about!" kaminari grinned excitedly. "i'll catch you later?"

katsuki looked back down at his phone. his manager was apparently on her way and had been for the past thirty minutes. honestly, it shouldn't even be taking that long, she was already beginning to rub him the wrong way.

just with that thought, the door to alliance heights opened and in stumbled the pr klutz, tripping over her own feet and two seonds away from dropping everything she cradled in her arms. annoying. annoying. annoying.

she rushed over to where katsuki sat on the couch and dropped her stupid equipment or materials or fucking whatever onto the coffee table in the center of the common room before dropping next to him. she didn't say anything as she touched the tip of her thumb to her tongue and flipped through the papers in her notebook.

katsuki watched her boredly, wanting to be anywhere else but there at the moment— or ever, really.

y/n then landed on a page and picked up a pencil, circling something. katsuki had absolutely no clue what the hell she was doing, but she was making it look very important and for some reason that was really annoying.

"do you have social media?" she asked. katsuki heard it.

"no." katsuki's reply was fast and irritated. "it's fucking pointless."

"it's not." y/n stated matter of factly. "are you planing to get your exposure simply from the news and articles?" y/n turned to him with a raised brow. "people see things, they take video of it, share it online for others to see- people want to know more about the thing or person they saw, so they do what? look for more."

katsuki said nothing, lifting a brow. y/n continued.

"if you're a hero, your fans want to get personal, they want to know you, want to know what you eat in the morning and your routine before you go to bed. it gets them attached, makes them feel special about their personal knowledge of their idol, there's a connection there and you want that with your fans to keep them engaged."

"no the fuck i dont."

katsuki sat up, tossing his phone to the side and glared at the papers. the bullet points of what it looked like they'd be discussing for their first meeting. "i don't give a shit about what my shitty fans think of me or if they're engaged or not. i fucking kill the villains, save damn extras and that's enough."

y/n clicked her tongue before pressing her lips and sitting back on the cushion of the couch. "when will your hearing aids be done?"

katsuki frowned, "wha- what the fuck does that even have to do with anything?" katsuki growled and turned to her with a hard glare. "we're talking about the fucking social media or whatever,"

"i want to know when my favorite hero's hearing will be okay again," y/n said with a small frown. "as a fan it... hurts that you aren't okay. and i want to know when it'll get better for you. i've heard from outside sources that you were struggling, but i have no idea how you're doing personally. that hurts me, as a fan."

katsuki's brow twitched. "you want me to fuckin' cater to my fans or somethin'?"

"no." y/n shook her head. "i want to make sure you're okay. i'm not asking or expecting you to cater to me, but i would prefer to know. i think i'd like it if someone were talking about it- 'hey, have you heard about dynamight's hearing?' and i could say, 'no worries, it should get fixed soon because...' do you see what i'm saying?"

"you didn't have to use my damn hearing as a fucking example."

"the situations i use for examples are personal and true to myself." she said mindlessly, leaning over to cross a line through something and scribble on the paper, "i used my concern for my idol as an example, not your hearing."

that didn't even make sense. regardless, katsuki asked,

"why the hell are you so concerned?"

y/n frowned and looked up, pausing whatever she was writing, like she was genuinely confused as to why he was asking.

"because you're my favorite?"

"because you're my favorite?"
