Despite the horribly planned, and poorly executed way that Meghan gave the pep talk, the way it was said was different from the way it went down in Anna's heartbroken, miserable head.

"Get up."

Anna sweetie, I know you're sad, but please get out of bed for your friend Meghan, I made you brownies to help you through the pain.

"Mmmph."

There's no way in hell I would go for that.

"Oh my god, for the billionth time it was one crush, Anna! There are other guys!"

I know you loved Blake, hell he was hotter than life, but you know what? You've seen a lot of hot guys, like Theo James, he's proof enough there are better guys out there.

"Fuck. Off."

But Meg... what if not one of them make me as happy as Blake? He was so.. perfect.

"Anna Detrich, get your ass out of bed, you need serious emotional therapy, not to mention you have a date in under 24 hours."

Don't worry, maybe you aren't looking for perfect, maybe what you need isn't perfect, just good for you? Now come on, we're going to get you cleaned up.

At this point Anna gave up and fell out of the bed for the second time that day, sighing and resting her head against the side of the mattress, staring at the ceiling, cheeks red from crying.

"Calm down Meg, I'm coming.... wait a second, what? Oh my god, you're not seriously suggesting I go through with his stupid deal, are you? I though you were on my side!?"

She said with wide, nervous eyes as her head snapped around and she scrambled to her feet, chest heaving with the shock of it as she tried to see if Meghan was being serious. Anna may have been happy to agree to the deal before, but that was only because she was confident of winning, which she still couldn't figure out.

The girl scratched her head and started at a shuffle to the bathroom, glaring towards her friend, only to flinch at her frightening appearence in the floor length mirror by the bed. After getting into her apartment earlier that afternoon, Anna had taken a 30 minute shower then crawled into bed, sobbing every once in a while as she lapsed in and out of sleep. The end results as the girl now saw them, were not at all pleasing.

"Of course Anna, but a deals a deal, besides... who says you both have to enjoy it?"

The girl spun, one eyebrow raised as she saw the impish grin that had crept onto the blonde's face, and found her own expression lifting to mimic it as devilish thoughts jumped instantly into her mind.

"Oh dear, are you suggesting what I think you are? Because if the answers yes, than I love you. Sooo much."

The girl only burst into a quite childish fit of giggles and shoved Anna into the bathroom, turning on the water in the shower, giving both a twinge of deja vu from that morning. Anna stripped her rumpled clothing and tossed it at Meghan, who disposed of it in the laundry basket, carrying it with a tune humming out of her lips to the tiny washroom, where she loaded the washing machine.

"Hey Meg, I have Liam's number right? Could you text him for me and ask if we can push the date to tonight? I want to get it over with, and at the same time, now I'm excited for this plan of yours~!"

The girl called an affirmative response and started the spin cycle before fishing Anna's phone out of her tanned leather back pack, and using her perfect, incredibly seductive texting skills to come up with a witty message.

Anna finished off her shower and went to the closet the two roommates shared, going to her friend's half and flipping through the section reserved for special occassions. This was most certainly a special occasion, so she flipped to a short, satin, chest hugging number with a fluffy short skirt that looked like even a hooker wouldn't wear.

"Oooh nice choice, Liam will swoon when he sees you, come on get in it so I can do your hair and makeup, it's got to be perfect."

Anna held the hanger up to her self and looked at it the mirror before throwing away the towel she'd covered up with and sliding on some undergarments. The girl slid the dress on, then adjusted the wispy frills of the skirt, trying to get it to cover more of her butt before giving up and sitting down in the chair that Meg had pulled up in front of the mirror.

"I don't know... this makes me feel like I'm just asking to get attacked by him, what if he get's the wrong idea?"

Meghan rolled her eyes and she ran a blow dryer quickly over the dark locks before taking a brush and smoothing out the frizz, calming the unruly mass with some conditioner.

"But that's the whole point sweetie, you want him to completely fall in love with you, get him like a puppy dog, so he'll obey your every beck and call, then drop him like a sack of bricks, trust me, it works every time, not to mention he so deserves it."

Anna couldn't help but let out a chuckle at that, smiling at her friend in the mirror as Meg twisted her dark curls down her left shoulder, the tip of her tongue poking out of her lips in concentration. But the smile faded slightly when she continued, and Anna looked down at her hands, tucked softly into the folds of the creamy yellow fabric, thoughts buzzing about nervously.

Meghan made it sound like Anna would be causing Liam as much heartbreak as he had caused her, which was typical Meg, always the one to hold a grudge and get revenge. But the dark haired girl didn't normally take that path, she had been crushed when Blake had practically rejected her. And while her roommate laced her face with makeup, the girl knew that as much as she loathed Liam, she wouldn't wish that fate on another soul.

But I don't have much of a choice either, it's this or stay home and be called a wimp the rest of my college life, and the insult made worse by that douchebag.

She sighed quietly and looked up again, only to gasp at the sight before her as a grinning Meghan pulled Anna out of the chair. In front if her, through this looking glass, was a beautiful young woman, with smokey, mysterious eyes, hidden parshially behind dark, silky curls that perfectly framed the side of her face and were laid tenderly over her shoulder. The yellow dress contrasted greatly with the dark hair, and Anna found her eyes watering for the hundredth time that day, but she quickly blinked it away.

"Oh my god... do you know how much I love you right now Meg? Not just because of how incredibly hot you made me look, but also how amazing you are at cheering a girl up."

Meghan swatted her hand, dismissing the compliment with a blush and ushering her roommate over to the door, plopping her at the counter and pouring her a shot of liquor to get in the mood.

"No sweetie, I love you, now go knock that guy dead, ya here me?"

Anna laughed and downed the drink before passing the empty glass back to her friend and sliding out the door, raising one hand in a wave goodbye.

The girl walked down the hall, retracing the steps she and Meghan had taken that morning, but now at a relaxed, peaceful pace, her black Chuck Taylors tapping quietly over the tile as she pushed open the door, heading to the campus courtyard where Meg had told Liam to meet her.

The girl had a trace of a frown on her face as she walked over the grass, bathed in the warm glow of the sunset, her shadow lengthened behind her, wondering whether or not to go through with the plan. It was fiendish, yes, cunning, of course, perfect revenge, also true... and yet. There was plain cruelty in the plan she'd worked up, the one Meghan had so casually offered, and Anna was afraid to hurt Liam too much, despite what the cursed man had done.

"Ahh, there you are Love, I was beginning to think you'd chickened out."

Speak of the devil.
