The sun had set, you got ready to leave your room and meet Dabi. You didn't know what he was planning to do, so you put on your favorite outfit and assumed it was good enough. You tip toed all the way down the stairs. You made it to the bottom and saw Dabi waiting for you. He smiled and walked towards you.

"You ready?" He whispered. 

You nodded. He held his hand out for you to hold it. You looked down at it and grabbed it, making your way towards the door to leave. You made it outside, it was quiet, the only thing you could hear were the sounds of crickets, but the air had felt muggy. Dabi looked up and chuckled. You looked at him suspiciously.

"What's so funny-"

Before you could finish what you wanted to say you felt a raindrop on your nose. You looked up at the sky and saw it begin to rain. The slight shower turned into heavier rain quickly. Dabi grabbed your hand again and laughed, he started running. The happiness coming from Dabi made you happy. You ran with him, not knowing where he was taking you. 

"Dabi where are we going?" You asked still smiling. 

He looked over his shoulder, he too still had a smile on his face. He turned back around and kept running. 

You made it to your destination. It looked like another abandoned building, it looked almost like a small castle. You stayed behind Dabi as the two of you made your way to the back of the building. he opened the door. He kept holding on to your hand and helped you slowly make your way through a hallway. The hallway itself was beautiful. The inside matched the aesthetic of the building.

There were windows on the right of the hallway and old famous paintings on the left. You made your way to another door, but it looked fancier. Dabi opened the door, the room was dark, you couldn't see anything but you knew it was very spacious. It smelled lightly dusty. Dabi stopped moving and placed his hands on your shoulders.

"Wait right here." He said.

You heard him walk towards the wall nearest to you. He flicked the switch to turn on the lights. Your eyes widened. You were in what looked like an old abandoned ball room. There was beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Tan, White, and Beige colors surrounded you. The place didn't even look real. It looked as if it came out of a fairy tale. You could hear the faint sound of a piano playing as well, it surrounded you.

"Dabi, where are we?"

He chuckled. 

"I secretly go here sometimes alone, and listen to the sounds of the piano and rain" 

Your eyes widened you looked around again not comprehending where you are.

"The people who own the place hold an annual masquerade themed ball here, and some of the LOV members go too" He continued.

You looked at him and raised your eyebrow. 

"You guys go?"

"Not because we necessarily want to, pro hero's go and it gives an opportunity to sabotage."

You gave a little smile, thinking about what Dabi looks like in a suit  and wondered if he could dance. 

"It really is beautiful Dabi" You said.

"I knew you would like it, it just matched you" He chuckled.

He came up to you, and grabbed your hand. He slowly brought the two of you into the middle of the ballroom. He bowed and slightly looked up at you.

"Dance with me"

You giggled. And let go of his hand quickly.

"I can't dance Dabi"

He grabbed your hand again only this time he brought you closer to him. He took your hand placing it on his shoulder, then placed his hand on your waist. Your other hand was still being held by Dabi only higher than before.

"Just trust me, and follow my lead"

It took awhile at first for you to get in sync with his own steps, but eventually you had gotten the hang of it. You began to move with Dabi, you felt special. The way you had been dancing and turning made you feel completely relaxed. You eventually stopped looking at your feet and finally felt comfortable enough to look at Dabi in his eyes.

He had already been looking at you with a little smile on his face. You felt your face get hot and you smiled back. You didn't want it to stop. You brought your body closer to his and put your head on Dabi's shoulder and closed your eyes

As the song kept going you stopped dancing, and put both of your hands around Dabi's neck, embracing him in a hug. You felt his arms wrap around your waist. You stayed like that for awhile. You heard him giggle and he picked you up abruptly twirling you around. You laughed not expecting this sudden interaction. He set you down and looked at you again before kissing you. His kiss felt gentle, almost like he wanted to cherish it just as much as you did.

You released from each others mouths and looked at each other again. You were holding each others hands. Dabi looked at you.

"What is it?" You said.

"I would never do anything to hurt you Y/n,"

You gave him a tiny smile.

"I knew from the second I met you I would do anything for you. You have slowly showed me who I am, and that I can love other people. And I think I'm in love with you Y/n"

Tears began to form at your eyes.

"I love you too Dabi" You said. 

He looked at you and smiled, kissing you again. 

"We should probably get back" He said 

You nodded still holding one of his hands as he turned the light off to the ballroom, and you made your way back through the light rainfall.
