Narrator's POV

Hadrian Malfoy was sitting in his room as always he was a tall boy with bleached blond hair and clear blue eyes that where sharp like crystals and as cold and calculating as ice. Suddenly he felt a rush of incomparable pain wash over him he fell down with a thud from the chair he had  been sitting in as he fell he got glimpses of burning flames and then  an explosion, as he saw the explosion he tried to scream but found he couldn't. He began shaking on the floor eyes wide with terror and for some reason he couldn't understand  rage as well. He shook more and more violently until he blacked out.

Hadrian POV

As his vision got dark he thought, "This must be some weird dream I'm about to wake up in my bed." But when the young Malfoy awoke  not only was he not in his bed he was also not right he didn't have the same body and was extremely disquieting to say the least. He pushed himself up onto his elbows I want over to the mirror next to door what he saw was something he was expecting to see in the next year or two but not this soon. He had become a veela. His family's  creature. He had  the same apperence as before but he also had a pair of pure silver wings and strangly a necklace with a red  stone on it had appeared on his neck. The wings where expected but no one had ever said anything about jewlery appearing along with his inheretance. His mother had taught him about his Veela heritage since a very young age. She had told him that he was a part of the Veela royal family she had been a princess but the pressure had gotten to her and she had rebeled and ran off with Lucius Malfoy. Hadrian's father. And Lucius's father had been more than happy to welcome a member of the royal Veela line into his family tree.

Narrator

The Malfoys where extremely respected in the wizarding comuity but in the Veela comunity they were viewed a traitors who had cast aside Veela tradition to rise in wizarding society. All though his mother had cast aside her Veela heritage it didn't necaseraly mean that her son wouldn't inherant Vella statues the veela royal family was a huge network of everyone related to the current monarchs and any these family members could be the future monarch. After the last king died or released his power the whole family would gather around the king and the crown would float up srounded by the magic of the ruler ad it would out of the crowd settle on the head the one who would be the next ruler. It was always a member of the family but it was rarely the children of the last king. As the crown settled on the chosen's head he would be lifted up into the air and go into a day long trance where he would ressieve a prophacy about his rein. His mother had given Hadrian  lessons in all things Veela tradition for the chance that he would be the next king, and Hadrian had gladly gone along with it to have something to do with his mother. She was rairly around otherwise and was often at retreats and large social galas and charities.  His father was also often absent on buisnes trips. The Malfoy buisnes was in hotels, casinos, grocery stores, vineyards and a large system of Malfoy manufacturing plants that created the majority of brooms used in the wizarding world. All in all Hadrian's father was extremely wealthy but also extremely absent. He was  primeraly raised by tutors and nannies as well as the family house elves.

Hadrian stood up and hesitantly manuvered his wings around then he folded them on his back. He called out for his elfe Simly. Simly popped into the room.

"What is it young master Malfoy?"

"What is you needing Simly for?"

"Fetch me all the books on creature inheritance and all the books on Veela royal creature inheritance from the library." Hadrian responded

"Right away Master" Simly said and disappeared with a pop.

Mother had prepared his room especially for him eventually inheriting wings, so he had a large balcony with wide french doors that allowed him room to go outside and try flying. Before he sat down to find out why the necklace had appeared he wanted to try out his wings. It wasn't everyday that one had a new pair of wings to fly with. He carefully  made his way onto the balcony and spread out his shimmering silver wings behind him. His silver feathers ruffled in the wind and as he stood on the very edge of his railing Hadrian Malfoy jumped out into the cool night sky swooping circles over Malfoy Manor.  He flew over the lake, the woods the Quiditch pitch, and the gardens. As he soared over the vineyard Hadrian felt a pull in his chest an urge to fill a void that had just opened within his very being and a pull in the direction where he knew with 100 precent certainty his mate was waiting. He tore himself away from the pull turning back towards the manor he had subconsciously floated farther and farther away from. He knew that he had to find the source of that pull eventually but not tonight. If he flew off into the night now without telling anyone Hadrian Malfoy would be considered kidnaped, and multiple teams of aurors would be woken up and dispatched to scour the earth for him.  Also worse even than the teams of aurors, Hadrians parents would be summoned and once they found out he was not kidnaped he would likely be locked in his room for the rest of the summer. So Hadrian turned back to his family home soared into his bedroom and studied the stone round his neck trying to decipher what exactly its presence meant all the while resisting the urge to follow the ever present tug on his being begging him to go.
