Ok let's just pretend for the sake of this oneshot that Oliver and Percy are in 7th year during the Battle at Hogwarts, making them the same age as Harry and co.

I hope you enjoy.

Oliver pov

There was a fucking war, and somehow I had ended up right in the middle of it.

I ran through the now half-destroyed halls of the school I had, up until about an hour ago, been working on my Potions homework in.

I launched a stupify towards a Death Eater in front of me, knocking them down. I didn't stop to check if they were properly unconscious, I needed to find Percy. Of course, he had been patrolling the halls on prefect duties when everything had started, meaning I had absolutely no clue where he was now and I was just running through the halls like a mad man, hoping I ran into him.

Curses and spells were flying all around me, making the air slightly dusty. There was rubble all around the hall; there were also several...er...bodies littered around, though I couldn't make out whether they were students or Death Eaters.

"Oliver!" I turned around so fast, I almost gave myself whiplash; I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

"Percy!" I yelled back, frantically searching for a flash of bright orange hair. Finally I saw him in the story below me, keeping another Death Eater at bay. Percy turned to look up at me, which was probably not the smartest move, granted he was currently fighting a Death Eater. The Death Eater took the distraction as a chance to point his wand directly at Percy's chest.

"NO!" It took me a second to realize that I was the one who screamed. I lifted my wand at the Death Eater, yelling "stupify" probably much louder than necessary. The black-clad figure crumpled to the ground.

I sprinted to the staircase leading to the ground floor, taking the steps two or three at a time. I didn't stop until Percy crashed into my arms. I practically sighed into the embrace and I could feel Percy relax as well. I pulled away so I could make sure he was ok. He was flushed and covered in dust, but he was for the most part intact. I then took notice of how close we were standing, I could see every one of his freckles and I had the sudden urge to kiss him, because goddamn was he beautiful right now; the whole fighting a Death Eater had oddly turned me on. But now was definitely not the time so I reluctantly took a step back. His face seemed to fall for a second, but his smile was back so fast I must have imagined it, and god his smile was gorgeous.

"Where have you been?" Percy looked up at me with a face I couldn't decipher.

"I've been looking for you, dumbass," I answered, not so graciously. Gee way to go Oliver, now he won't be able to help falling in love with you. Despite my ungraciousness, Percy laughed, "plus I've been fighting off all these Death Eaters," I managed to get out before I started laughing too. I wasn't exactly sure what I was laughing at, but whatever it was I found it funny as fuck.

Suddenly, a spell flew over our heads, sobering us instantly, "Come on, we need to get out of here." Percy grabbed my hand and pulled me in the direction of the Great Hall. I knew there was a war going on, but Percy's hand in mine took up most of the functioning space in my brain. Did he moisturize? There was no way he would have such soft hands if he didn't. I shook my head, trying to shake the thoughts loose, because there would be time to wonder if Percy moisturized later.

Percy hit a Death Eater that jumped out from behind a pile of rubble with a stunning spell and I hit another one on our left. The fighting seemed to be slowing; we encountered less and less Death Eaters as we got closer to the Great Hall.
