Warning! A lot of Angst with a sweet ending ahead
You have been warned.

It has only been a few days since Devils Tounge was defeated and Ritchie had died. Since then the whole Island seemed much quieter, Lukas and Blake left to go on a journey and not many Missions were posted on the quest boards. Everyone seemed sad, but especially Brandon and Devin. Brandon talked less then normally, he would walk around the Island patroling multiple times a day, sometimes even staying awake a few nights on end, keeping a close eye on the guild. Devin on the other hand was spending most of his time in his house, sometimes he would go to the Statue room or sit in the guild hall in silence. Devin and Brandon both looked worse from day to day. Massive dark rings forming under their eyes, the neutral expression and blank stares Brandon gave off aswell as Devins messy hair and pale face. This didn't go unnoticed, the whole guild knew that they were doing badly.  Echeveria (Plant) made it their personal mission to try and lighten up their families mood.

Eche quickly made their way through the forest towards the Protectors guild. They skipped over roots and stones, tightly clutching their scarf as the cold wind blew into their face. It was a rather cold and stormy day, the Wind blew strongly and the rain slashed across the trees and punctured the ground. Maybe the storm came from Brandon but nobody could really tell.
Echeveria was on their way to meet Kay and ask her to help with their mission. Eches Plan was to bake every member of Divinus Magia something special to try and change their mood just a little bit. To not spoil the supprise they had to sneak out of Davids house and off the Island without anyone noticing, which had turned out to be rather hard, but they still did it.
They kept running through the storm until they saw a building behind the trees. A small, warm shimmer of light was coming from inside the house. Eche was struck with determination as they noticed a sign on the door that read "open" as they walked towards it. They slowly opened the door, slightly struggling as the weight pushed back. Luckily, someone had noticed them and opened the door wider.
"Oh, Plant? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at Divinus Magia?" Kay asked carefully as she looked around and couldn't spot any other person. Eche slightly shivered and looked up at Kay.
"Oh, come in, come in. You must be freezing." They quickly walked into the house and sighed reliefed as the warmth engulfed them.

After they had taken of their jacked and scarf Eche was offered a seat at the counter. Kay slowly shoved a mug with warm tea and a plethera of cookies towards them. Eche smiled and emediatly took some cookies.
"So, why are you here?" She asked slightly concerned but Was still smiling.
"Everyones sad. I want to help them!" Echeveria said smiling as they took another cookie and pointed at it. "I want to make something special."
Kay thought for a moment. "So, i guess no one in Divinus knows you're here. Oh no, they're gonna kill me- I- I can't- I have to bring you back." She said more to herself than Eche.
Echeveria looked at her with a sad expression. "Please, I want to make them happy." They said.
Kay looked at their eyes and couldn't resist. "Uuugghh, fine. I'll help you, but as soon as we're done I'll bring you back, okay?" She said slightly smiling, not able to be mad at the small plant. "Mhm!" Eche said with a big smile.
And so they startet Backing.

Meanwhile on the guild Island of Divinus Magia, David had noticed that something was off.
"Eche?" He yelled through the house, not having heard from them in a while. "You're being awfully silent." No reply.
"Don't make me come down there!" He said and waited for another moment. "Eche?" He yelled yet again. David started to get a bit worried, he stood up from where he was sitting and made his way down the stairs, only to find an empty Living room. "Uhhh, Eche? Where are you? Eche!" David looked around once more, he noticed that Echeverias shoes aswell as their scarf and jacked were gone. He ran out of his house. "Eche!? I told you this morning that it is too stormy outside to do anything, where are you?" He screamed as he walked through the rain.
The longer he searched the more worried he got. David sprinted past the houses, having searched almost the entire Island. "Echeveria!? Plant!? Where are you?" His coat Was soaked wet, same as his hair and the rest of his clothing, he had now been out almost an hour, no luck.
"ECHEVERIA!?" David screamed, confusion and concern filled his voice, he looked around again.
Next to him, a door opened and out came Kit, looking at David with concern. "Hey, David? What are you doing?" She asked. David ran towards Kit, grabbed her shoulders, gripping onto them like his life depended on it, and looked deeply into her eyes. "Have you seen Plant!? I have been looking for them for the past hour! They're no where!" He said rather panicked, breathing heavily. "Alright, hey, hey, hey, calm down." Kit said, carefully removing Davids hands from her shoulders. "First of all, calm dow-" David abruptly cut her off. "I can't calm down while NOT KNOWING WHERE MY CHILD IS!" He almost screamed, his hair turned slightly more white and his voice became deeper and rougher as he did. Kit was slightly shocked from her friends behavior, but could fully understand it.
"Where did you see them last?" She asked him. David took a deep breath and pointed at his house. "The last time I saw them, they were down stairs in my house, reading their botany book. I was upstairs looking if I had other books I could give them, but as I went down, they were gone. I've searched the whole fucking Island! They're no where!!" He yelled yet again.
Kit sighed. "We should go and look if Eche might be with the others?" She suggested as David angrily sighed and rubbed his temples in Stress.
"Alright, let's go." He then said a bit calmer before sprinting away followed by Kit.

It has been two hours now since the small plant had disappeared. David had found help In the other Guild members with searching for his child. Now, David, Kit, Inmo, Brandon and Devin were looking all over the Island, some in the sky others on land. Brandon had used his magic to end the storm in order to find the child, but still nothing.
They met at the Docs of the Island. "Still nothing?" Kit asked rather beaten. "No. Sadly not." Devin sighed, tugging on the blue Cape he was wearing.
Inmo came running towards them, followed by Brandon who was still flying through the air, getting a bird-eye view. "We didn't find anything! Did you?" Inmo yelled, stopping on the docs only moments after. "Nothing." David said with a sad under tone. His hair Was flickering between bits of white and the usual brown. "We were now searching for two hours. They're obviously nowhere on the damn Island!" David cried out. He sat down on one of the pillars of the pier and nerviously ran his hands through his hair, gripping and tugging on it. He looked at the ground, beaten. Devin walked up to him and layed his hand upon Davids shoulder. "We will find them." He said. "I'll be damned, if we loose another one of us." Devin spoke, quite bitter, yet again slightly tugging on his blue Cape.
"Hey! What's that over there!" Inmo suddenly yelled.
Davids head shot up, his view followed Inmos gaze and landed on a hyppogriff  that made its way towards their Island, carrying something small on its back.
David stood up, running over to the edge of the docs, the group followed him, observing as the creature flew further and further towards the Guild Island.
As the Hyppogriff flew past them to land on the docs, they all saw the small plant on its back, holding a seemingly heavy basket. They hopped off of the being as it transformed a few moments after.
The Divinus Magia members were now looking at their child, carrying a heavy basket next to an exhausted Kay, sitting on the ground.
"Hello!" Echeveria hesitantly greeted their guild. "Hi- Ugh.... Sorry-" was the only thing Kay could say.
David tensed up and with one Quick motion sprinted towards his child. He fell to his knees as he grabbed the shoulders of Eche, making them drop the basket. David quickly pulled them into a strong hug, pushing them against his chest. Soft sobs escaped his mouth as small tears gently fell onto the childs shoulder.
Echeveria just hugged him back, realising just how much they scared their family, but especially their Dad.
Everything was silent for a moment as Devin sat down beide the two. Kit, Brandon and Inmo made their way towards the still very exhausted Kay, who was sitting on the floor of the Docs.
As she noticed the shadows of the three others over her, she looked up, terrified. "Oh no...." Kay whispered to herself.
As David was now slowly letting go of Eche, the small child looked over at Devin, receaving a small smile from him. Eche beamed with happiness, but right as they turned to look at Kay, they saw Brandon picking Kay up by the back of her jacked and Inmo and Kit talking her down.
Kay gazed at Eche, her eyes clearly yelling for help.

After Echeveria and Kay sorted the Situation out, telling the others what had happened, the death glares had stopped and Brandon had let Kay back down. Even though David was still mad at Kay for not telling them that Eche was there sooner, he let it go for the time being. Now Eche was taking the Basket and presented it to their family. "We made these!" They proudly said, taking the napkin out of the Basket, revealing the goods inside it.
The basket Was filled with Donuts, cookies and other pasteries. Every cookie had a different icing drawing on it, one cookie for every member.
"So you left the Island, to do this?" David asked. "I wanted to make you happy." Eche said, referring to the whole guild, their family.
David smiled at them and soon the cookies were given to their designated person.
Inmo was bragging to Kit about his cookie while Brandon and Devin were silently eating theirs, both with small smiles.
Kay had already left and Eche was waving her Goodbye as she flew away, yet again in her Hyppogriff form. David then quickly grabbed Eche from behind and sat them down on his shoulders, taking the Basked in his right hand. "Alright Gang! Let's move!" He declared, mood completely shifted, but not only from the cookie.
David smiled as he reached up to hold one of Eches hands with his left one.
Echeveria too smiling as they grabbed their Dads hand as the group slowly made their way towards their home.
