y/n POV

I found my way to goodwitch's class and walked in

goodwitch: mr l/n. we've been waiting for you, please enter the arena. team CRDL, change into your combat gear and enter the arena as well

I walked over to the wall and leaned against it, waiting. when they arrived I could FEEL how over-confident they were. their names and aura appeared on a large tv screen, while mine appeared on another

cardin: we're gonna kick your ass. you have no chance against us!

y/n: I think it's time someone put you in your place

goodwitch: BEGIN

(I don't know the names of the people on team crdl and I honestly don't  care. it's dumbass 1, dumbass 2, dumbass 3, and cardin)

dumbass's 1 and 3 charged me head on. I pulled out my revolver and shot them both in the face, putting their aura in the red

y/n: are you really fit to be huntsmen if your aura is that weak? these aren't even special rounds, just normal bullets

dumbass 2 tried to shoot me and I caught the bullets with my semblance. I waited until he unloaded all his bullets, then threw them back at him, with the same force at which they were coming out of the gun, putting his aura in the red. I ran at cardin and slid under his mace, using my knife to slash his side covered in armor, somehow already bringing his aura to the yellow. he tried to run at me but I used my semblance to lift him up off the ground

cardin: what the hell is going on?

y/n: you losing

I slammed him into the ground, shattering his weak aura

goodwitch: y/n wins flawlessly

the bell rang, signaling us to go to lunch and   C O N S U M E food. we got there, got food, and I sat at a table with rwby and another team that was introduced to me as team jnpr. nora was telling a story with ren correcting her. I can tell what kind of relationship they have. jaune was just playing with his food and pyrrha seemed concerned.

pyrrha: jaune? you okay?

jaune: huh? yeah, why?

ruby: you just seem a little... not okay

jaune: oh, yeah. I'm fine guys. see?

he gives us a thumbs up while forcing a smile

y/n: that proves nothing

we all hear laughing and turn towards it. cardin and his team are back from the medical bay and making fun of this random faunas for having ears. I gripped the table and tried to calm down

pyrrha: jaune cardin has been picking on you since the first week of school

jaune: who, cardin winchester? he just likes to mess around, you know, practical jokes!

ruby: he's a bully

y/n: he's an asshole is what he is

ruby: yeah

jaune: please, name one time he's, bullied me

ruby: he knocked your books out of your hands, he extended your shield in a doorway, and he used a locker to send you flying away from beacon

jaune: I didn't land far from the school....
