"And yet here you are, trying to drink lushberry juice through you nose." Tam commented with a sigh as more of the red juice came spraying out of Dex's nose.

The group was sitting in the Foxfire cafeteria for lunch, all at their usual table in the back. It was nice being able to go back to a regular routine, even though things behind the scenes were a bit more complicated. Sophie let her eyes wander across the room, her gaze eventually landing on a table near the centre of the room. The table where 'the popular kids' sat. And Fitz and Linh sat among them.

"Sophie, are you trying to kill your food?" Biana asked with a raised eyebrow.

Sophie looked down at what had once been a whole vegetable, now it just looked like a mashed potato.

"No, just nervous." She sighed.

"About what?" Biana asked.

"Oh um, just stuff." She said with a fake smile.

Biana seemed skeptical but let it go. But honestly, Sophie was freaking out. Last night Alvar had told her to dress fancy for tonight, he wanted to do something special for her apparently.

"So I was thinking, how do you guys feel about a night out tonight? We could go to Atlantis and get dinner, maybe some shop-" Biana begun but Tam cut her off.

"You had me up until the last part." He said in a monotone voice and everyone laughed.

"Sorry Bi, but I won't be able to make it, I have to study for my midterms." Sophie said in response.

"On a Friday night? Laaaameeee." Dex booed.

Sophie rolled her eyes at him.

"Unlike you, I still struggle with my sessions." She noted.

Dex rolled his eyes.

"Your loss. What time do you want to meet?"

Sophie smoothed out the light blue fabric of her dress and clasped her cape around her shoulders with the Ruwen crest. She turned to go get the crystal from under her mattress but stopped in her tacks at the sight of Sandor standing in front of her bed.

"And where exactly do you think your going this time?" He asked and narrowed his eyes at her fancy attire.

"Oh- um, just going to Atlantis with friends. There's no need to come with me." She fumbled for words.

"I know you've been sneaking out. And I know about the leaping crystal that is currently under your mattress." He stated bluntly and she froze.

"So miss Foster, would you like to explain?" He asked and taped his foot.

Sophie sighed.

"As you probably know, I have an inside source on the Neverseen. And I can't have you there, you'll scare him off-" She quickly slapped a hand over her mouth as she realized what she said.

"He? Care to elaborate as to why you dressed so nicely this evening?" Sandor asked with a glare that could wither flowers.

"Oh my god fine! Yes! It's kind of a date! Can you just let me go!?" Sophie yelled with frustration.

Sandor let out a long sigh and pinched the bridge of his flat nose.

"Fine." He eventually muttered.

Sophie smirked victoriously as she marched past him and grabbed her crystal. She raised it to the light.

"Just do one thing for me please!" Sand called as she was about to step into the path.

She groaned.

"Whaaaaaat?" She said with a sigh.

"Use protection please." He said with a deadpan look.

Sophie sputtered with her words. She tried to find a response but no coherent words came out of her mouth.

"You can go now." Sandor said with a chuckle at her reaction.

She groaned and turned away with a huff. She took a deep breath and stepped into the light.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter! So you might have heard about wattpad being bought by webtoon and that their apparently going to take down all smut stories... so that may or may not have killed off an entire chapter I was considering-

I would just like to put a note out there that I am trying to update as fast as possible. Things in my life are a bit sideways right now but I still try to put time aside to write whenever I can, so I apologize if updates are a bit slower right now.

Anyways I shall return in the indefinite future 😗✌️
