My First Happiness || Chongqiu/Xingyun

Chapter 1

     It was a beautiful day in Liyue Harbor, nice flowing breeze of wind, with the sun's ray of light not too hot. With this nice weather, Xingqiu could finally enjoy reading his books outside peacefully. Maybe even go out with his best friend Chongyun. Not like a date though- Just those normal days where friends spend there time together.  Regardless, Xingqiu decided to bring Chongyun with him to Wangshuu Inn to finish a commission he still has to do. So, Xingqiu walks to the spot that Chongyun was usually sitting in, under a tree right beside Dragonspine where it's cold. 

       "Hey Chongyun." Xingqiu waves at the cyro boy. They stare at each other for a bit. "Hey." Chongyun replies back in a dull yet sweet expression. And as it turns out, Chongyun, was, in fact sitting under a tree. Xingqiu walked up to him and sat right beside him. "Wanna do complete a commission with me, my dearest Chongyun?" Xingqiu asks. 'My- dearest?'  was what Chonyun wondered. Xingqiu always called him that, but just now, a very faint red laid among Chongyun's cheeks. "uh- Yeah of course." Chongyun said back. "Then- let's go." Xingqiu stood up, took Chongyun's hands and dragged him to the dirt road ahead. 

       For the first time, Chongyun felt this weird feeling in his stomach just because Xingqiu's soft warm hands had touched him. With that feeling, Chongyun slowed down a little from running. "What's up Yun-Yun?," Xingqiu asked pleasantly. "C'mon." he gave a smile. 'Yun... Yun?? Where the hell did he come up with that silly nickname, and that smile- cute...'  and Chongyun felt weird feeling in his stomach again. He picked up his pace so Xingqiu wouldn't start asking him questions. To be clear, today wasn't the only day he felt butterflies in his stomach. It happened often whenever he was around Xingqiu.

       During the two boys travel, Chongyun was still wondering what that feeling was... It was like someone was doing cartwheels in him. And why did he only feel it around Xingqiu? He had many questions for this sensation. 

       Soon after, Xingqiu and Chongyun arrived to their destination, Wangshuu Inn. They saw slimes in front of them ready to attack. Their commission was to slaughter them all. So they ran with their weapons and slashed and slashed until the slimes disappeared. Xingqiu giggled. "What." Chongyun asked a bit confused of why his best friend was laughing. Xingqiu walked up to Chongyun and put his hand on him. "You've got slime condensate on your face." he says as he slowly wipes of the slime condensate off of Chongyun's face. When he finished wiping the sticky stuff off, Chongyun backed up a bit. 'God god god, he touched my face so softly... he touched my face!!'  A large red grew on Chongyun's face. He was obviously blushing 'cuz his best friend touched his face so nicely. Chongyun looked in a direction other than where Xingqiu was standing and said, "Let's- go get our reward." with a hand over his mouth. 

       They got to the front counter of Wangshuu Inn. "Can we have a room please?" Xingqiu asked politely. The lady stared at him and Chongyun for a bit. "Sorry Ma'am, you and your boyfriend need to find a different Inn. The slimes are a big threat to this Inn and we don't want guests getting in trouble." The lady replied. "I- We, cleared the smiles already." Xingqiu said back. "Really? My apologize Ma'am, here are keys to a room." Xingqiu smiled at the lady as a thank you. 

       As Xingqiu and Chongyun walked up the stairs, the cryo boy asked "Why didn't you correct her... You're not a girl nor am I your b-boyfriend." he stuttered. If he was being honest, it was because he had the weird cartwheels in his stomach feeling again. "It's not a big deal. Why, do not like being called my boyfriend? I mean we are friends, as boys."
       "There's a difference between boyfriend and boy frie-" Chongyun got cut off.

       "Woahhh..." Xingqiu blurted. He quickly removed his short-heeled shoes, placed the room keys on a fairly short table and then he flopped onto the bed, back on the mattress. The one bed. The only bed in the room. A single bed. Who was gonna take the bed? It's a pretty huge bed though... One bed. There's only one huge bed. "You can take the bed Xingqiu." Chongyun muttered. Xingqiu was on the bed looking at him in confusing. "From what I've read, best friends sleep together. So we can too." Xingqiu suggested. "But... Oh, fine."

       It was the middle of the night, Chongyun with his back straight on the mattress and his face looking directly up at the ceiling. He wasn't able to sleep because of all those moments. The one's with the weird feeling in his stomach. The warm and tingly sensation. He was thinking on whether to ask Xingqiu what it was he was feeling. And so, he finally got the nerve to wake him up in the middle of the night. "Hey, Xingqiu." Chongyun moved his head to his right to shake Xingqiu. Xingqiu body then rotated to his left and stared at Chongyun. "Yes my dearest Chongyun?"

       Chongyun explained to him about the warm tingly feeling that he felt in his stomach whenever he was around someone, he asked about that obviously leaving out the fact that it was only around Xingqiu. "Who knows. Perhaps it could be love~" Xingqiu teased with mischievous grin and booped Chongyun's nose afterwards. "Xingqiu!" Chongyun shouted. "I'm only kidding. May I ask who this person is?" Xingqiu questioned. Chongyun rotates his body the opposite direction of Xingqiu afraid he'd assume that he loved him. "Is it Xiangling?" Xingqiu teased again. No reply from Chongyun. "Don't tell me," he tried to guess. "Is it me?" Xingqiu added. After a few seconds of silence, Chongyun said "Good Night." as a way to end the conversation. ' "Perhaps it could be love?" Am I really in love with Xingqiu?' Chongyun wondered during the night. At this point, since Xingqiu is so smart he might've caught on that Chongyun though of him as more than a best friend. But it's still Chongyun's decision to confess or not, for he still needs to notice the remaining feelings that he has for Xingqiu.

        When Chongyun woke up, he started to wonder why Xingqiu called him "My Dearest Chongyun." and how he could call him that with no signs of embarrassment. Other than that, Xingqiu was in front of Chongyun out of the bed standing up. The vision was very blurry in Chongyun's point of view which was good. It seemed that Xingqiu was changing. Right. There. With no privacy whatsoever, but then Chongyun blurry morning vision disappeared. He turned red as hell. Red as a tomato with the tip of his ears flushed with red. Chongyun- was staring at Xingqiu. His body was so slim and it seemed so soft, and from what Chongyun knew was that his butt was right in front of his. "XINGQIU. WTH."
       Xingqiu was startled and twisted just his body above his waist to look at Chongyun. Xingqiu was just staring at Chongyun normally, while the flustered YunYun was in such a surprised shock. Chongyun's eyes were widened, looking flustered. "What?" Xingqiu asked. "W-what do you mm-ean "What?"?!? You're standing n-naked in front of me and I- I can see your-" Xingqiu put his mouth over Chongyun's to shut the boy up. Chongyun froze, but in a good way. It was a light, somewhat passionate kiss. Chongyun started to kiss back just a bit. Then they pulled back and stared into each others eyes. "Your eyes are so pretty Xingqiu." Chongyun compliments. "Oh really? I think you're way prettier." Xingqiu giggled as Chongyun gets flustered of embarrassment not just from the compliment, but from that kiss. What did this make them now? "So..." Chonyun said. "Yes, Chongyun, we can be considered boyfriends." the hydro boy smiled. Chongyun was a dull serious type of boy, but for the first time in forever he smiled, and laughed aftterwards. This wasn't like Chongyun, but unexpectedly he pulled Xingqiu onto the bed with him and kissed him back out of his own will.
       This was the the happiest Chongyun as ever been. Usually he didn't care for anything, never smiling. Like ever. Just because of love, Chongyun's dull expression has gone. He finally realized how much he cared for his best friend. He loved him more than anything. He was more than ready to go on dates, though he'd prefer to not let people know of their current relationship (boyfriends).
