Elowen Marisa Grace stood haughtily in front of the small grimy school restroom mirror. She sniffed delicately as she reapplied her natural lip balm to her soft pink heart shaped lips.

"And then what did she say," Elowen asked lightly, as her blue eyes trained on her own reflection in the defaced school mirror.

 Wait was that a pimple?

Elowen's slender fingers flew to her left cheekbone as her manicured turquoise nails assessed the situation

Beside Elowen stood her close friend and confidant, Ivy Mcaddams. Ivy was known for her long silk curtain of black hair which she had inherited from her mother and the darkly colored blue eyes she had gotten from her father, which in a certain light resembled a shade of purple. Her gorgeously tanned skin, slender figure and layered hair gave off a somewhat mystical and tropical air, which of course had instantly drawn Elowen to her in seventh grade. The two complimented each other like a ying and yang with Elowen's pale ivory colored skin, icy blue eyes and light blonde hair she lacked what Ivy had. They're style also contrasted like dark and light with Ivy's liking of grey and black and Elowen's affinity for pastel pinks and blues. The two devastatingly gorgeous girls were a force not to be trifled with when it came to the inner workings of John Adams High School and they weren't...most of the time.

"Well Lily told me that she's telling everyone that Jason was bribed to go with you! I mean can you believe it! I mean if she's going to be spreading rumors at least make them believable," Ivy sighed glancing up from her violet clad IPhone.

Elowen smirked, "Wow, I seriously expected more from her."

"So what do we do?" Asked Ivy looking towards Elowen expectantly "And don't worry its not even noticeable." Ivy added casually referring to the small blemish Elowen had continued to examine. "You're gorg as always."

"Awww thanks." Elowen replied noncommittally as she stood straighter lightly fluffing the bottom of her cotton dress "what time is it?"

Ivy smacked her expensive mint, five gum as she clicked the home button of her phone. "7:35- we should go before the bell rings."

Elowen sighed nodding in agreement giving one more fleeting glance at the unnoticeable bump beneath her left cheek before spinning towards the bathroom door.

Just as she turned the door swung open and entered a sophomore like themselves with an artistic red bob and interesting choice of blue eye shadow. She froze in place for a second when her gaze settled on the two as if awestruck by their presence. But she quickly recovered blinking rapidly as she grinned easily "Elowen! You look so cute today...you too Ivy!"

"Thanks," Elowen drawled quite nasally as Ivy followed en suite, "I love you're hair it's adorable." She stated as she gave the girl a quick onceover.

The redhead blushed brightly, "Thanks, I was really worried about how it would turn out, you know!"

"Yeah of course," Ivy nodded empathetically a superficial grin plastered to her lips.

"Well, see you in health!" She nodded a wide smile spread ear to ear.

"Yeah! See you!"  Elowen grinned pushing open the bathroom doors and stepping into the crowded halls of John Adams.

"Who in the world was that," Muttered Elowen towards Ivy once they were safely out of hearing distance.

"No idea, someone in you're health class I guess...or mine," She replied peering back down at the glowing screen of her mobile device.

As they walked through the hallways "hi's" and "Heys" seemed to follow every turn.
