Elowen stood in front of her wall length mirror and spun around admiring the way her body fitted the mint colored bikini she donned.
Jezebel bounced on the balls of her toes in her white and maroon polka dotted bikini "You look so pretty!" she marveled.
"Thanks, you do too." Muttered Elowen her eyes remaining on her body "I'm so pale though," She complained eyeing her porcelain arms.
"We are going to a pool party," said Jezebel as she balanced a pin in her mouth, "You'll get tanned for sure." Jezebel pulled her wispy blonde hair into a messy bun and pressed a pin into her hair. She looked over towards Elowen with naturally innocent looking face and large hazel eyes.
"Yeah I guess you're right," Elowen replied still unsatisfied "Let's take a selfie." She suddenly declared snatching her phone from the top of her dresser.
"Isn't called a delfie if there's two people," Contemplated Jezebel.
"Seriously who cares Jez," replied Elowen positioning her Iphone in front of them and pulling a naturally relaxed smile.
Jezebel let an adorable cheeky grin spread across her lips and once the picture was taken they immediately relaxed and peered back down at the phones consumed in the task social media presented.
"Send that to me." Jezebel said thumbing her phone.
"Yeah sure."
"I'm putting that in my story." Said Jezebel opening the app snapchat.
"Girls! Are you almost ready? The party's in 10 minutes!"
"Mom chill we're coming!" Elowen yelled slinging her Vera Bradley duffel over her shoulder and slipping on her Tory burch sandals. She turned towards Jezebel expectantly "Ready?"
"Yep," Jezebel replied grabbing her bag and flips flops then sliding her sunglasses over her hazel eyes she followed Elowen down the wooden stairs.
Elowen's mother a thin women with well a well defined jaw and beautiful colored smoky grey eyes sat at the large kitchen table eyes flying over the screen of her macbook. At her feet layed the large family Bearded Collie Max, He raised his head to watch Elowen and Jezbel's ascension down the stairs but lazily flopped back on to the ground when he found them uninteresting.
"You guys ready?" Mrs. Grace asked looking up from her task on the computer.
"Yeah," they both replied heading towards the garage where Elowen's families large grey land rover sat.
"MOM UNLOCK THE DOORS." Elowen yelled as she attempted and failed to open the car doors.
Mrs. Grace stumbled out of the home her piled into a simple bun clad in pink yoga pants and a tee shirt. Wrapped around her shoulder a large Louis Vuitton bag. She produced the keys from the pocket of her beg and with a click the doors opened and all three entered the car.
The garage opened at a snail pace but soon the gray land rover backed out and sped down the street.
"you girls have fun." Smiled Mrs. Grace watching the two girls exit the car and enter the home of Abigail Mark.
Mrs. Grace's phone beeped just as two had exited with a small smile upon her lips she glanced down at her the newest edition of Apple's Iphone and peered at the message.
Her small grin immeaditly disappeared and her skin in seconds seemed to turn clammy pale. With wide eyes she swallowed and The gray land Rover took off down the street.
Elowen and Jezebel strolled up the driveway and the door was opened before either could raise a hand.
Abigail appeared in the door frame giggling beside Candace "Yay you're here!" Abigail exclaimed "Everyone's in the back" Abigail lowered her voice "Jason's here too." She grinned.
Elowen gave a smile of appreciation and followed the giggling Candace through the house and out the large screen door in the living room.
Loud music specifically a Taylor Swift song pumped loudly through invisible speakers. Abigail's large pool had been taken over by rough housing boys at the pool tables in the shade sat Quinn, Ivy, Brooke, Noemi, Aimée and few other sophmores Elowen knew from around school. In Abigail's even larger backyard a large inflated TV projector was tied up surrounding it waterproof beanbags.
"This is going to be so much fun," grinned Jezebel.
"I know right," Replied Elowen "don't see Natalie yet..."
"Well she better not miss this."
"ELOWEN MARISA GRACE." Schreeched Quinn from under the large enveloping umbrella.
They were greeted with a choruses of Hey's, Ivy patted the two empty seats beside her beckoning them over. Jezebel and Elowen took seats beside the girls Elowen immeanditly leaning forward and softly asking Quinn "Did you do it?"
Quinn blinked "Of course!" She then smugly said "Can't wait for the movie."
"Me either," smiled Ivy she paused her eyes flying over the boy filled pool "Have you even said Hi to Jason yet?"
"No," replied Elowen suddenly taking interest in her phone.
"Is there something going on between you and Keefe?" Asked Ivy suspiciously.
"What? Keefe Mcellan!" Gasped Quinn leaning towards Elowen "Please tell!" she said placing her elbows onto the table and pressing her chin into the palms of her hands.
"We're just...friends" Finished Elowen smiling off into the distance.
"Oh, really," Implored Jezebel.
"Well considering you haven't even said Hi to-" Began Ivy.
"Jason!" Interjected Elowen yelling towards the pool, Jason spun around He beamed and his large blue eyes twinkled "Hey Elle!"
"Hey!" She smiled sweetly at him before turning back to her friends.
"Seriously-" Began Ivy.
"SHH Shut up!" Shushed Quinn as she pointedly looked in the direction of the screen doors.
Natalie had arrived.
