After the Demise

Chapter 2

"So why did you bust me out?" I asked the Sand man. It just stood there, no noise no movement. I walked up to it. "Hello?" Just then it started to run to right at an incredible pace. "Hey where are you going?!" I shouted. I turned around and found out.

Mr. Nuclear refrigerator wasn't happy about me escaping. He turned around and had his truck racing towards me. "Wait for me!" I shouted. The truck was starting to catch up, and the sand man wasn't slowing down. Then the strangest thing happened, it jumped up, did a cannonball , and disappeared through the ground.

"Hey where did you go?" I started clawing at the ground where it had disappeared, but there was nothing. I turned around and saw the truck was only a few yards away. I started running again. How could something like that happen, the ground was solid. Was she an illusion, ghost? My thoughts where interrupted when the truck hit my back and I sprawled on the ground. I was dazed a just barely got onto my back. Mr. Nuclear refrigerator got out and stood directly above me.

"You had potential kid, a lot," he said in a stern voice,"But you messed with the Colivie De Aur, and that means death, just be glad you aren't being sent into the Void." I closed my eyes and waited for the shot, hearing the gun warm up.

The sand man had other ideas. Out of nowhere it came and threw some sand straight into Mr. Nuclear Refrigerator's eyes. "My eyes!" He screamed, crumpling to the ground, clawing at his eyes. Before I could even say thanks, it pulled me up and said, "Run!"

This time I was right behind the sand man. I could here Mr. Nuclear Refrigerator start the truck again and start heading our way. "Jump!" It yelled, and so I did. We both went through the ground and down a smooth tube, increasing speed.

"What is this!?" I yelled, but the sand man didn't hear me or it was ignoring me. We kept on going till the tube started to to curve upward till we were where now going forward instead of down. Eventually, we lost momentum, so we had to start walking.

"So um, can you explain how we went through solid ground, and why the buildings where in ruins, and why we are walking through a freaking tube?!" The sand man turned its head towards me,"All your questions will be answered later," it said in a monotone voice, and continued walking.

"What about that guy trying to capture me, what was his deal? And that nuclear fridge he was carrying around?" The sand man said nothing and kept walking. "Oh I see, the silent treatment, well I can do that to!" We continued walking in complete silence, the only noise was the sound of our footsteps echoing off the tube itself.

"Can I ask when we will get to where we are-" "Would you please stop talking?! Your voice in here is like driving nails in my ears!" Said the sand man, which seamed really out of character. "Well your voice is like nails driving into MY ears," I mumbled under breath. "What was that?" Said the sand man. "Nothing," I quickly replied. We walked the rest of the way in silence.

When we finally reached our destination, the tube ended and opened up to a room that was only lit be some lights near the entrance. I looked all around the room from the lightened spot, telling that, from what I could see, the room was massive.

"So what is this place....... Where did you go?" I looked where she was but she had disappeared. Then suddenly, men wearing all black came at me and held me against the wall. "Hey! Why are you doing this? Let me go!" I tried to break out of their hold on me but these guys where strong, way stronger than I was. Another one came, this time with a syringe with a strange teal colored liquid inside it.

"Hey man I never liked needless." "Oh shut up!" Said one of the men holding me and covered my mouth with his hand. The guy with the syringe injected me with the liquid and I screamed in pain, but it was muffled due to the hand across my mouth. Everything started to get blurry, and then I blacked out.
