Back on Earth's orbit...
"You didn't say, did you? The girl and the boy...they are dangerously unequipped to fly. Or even, sending them on this dangerous mission." The man on the right whispered to the one on the left. "As if I could. Those two were adorable and two of the best saplings for our next generation. Don't understand why he had to send them away. Moreover—" "Shhhh..." Both men silenced quickly, as they both approached a pair of elegantly glided double doors.
The doors slid open soundlessly. Both men stepped in the dimly lit room cautiously, as though they were afraid to wake up someone.
Or something.
"Well. What do you have to give me today?" A snaky voice slithered into their ears. They both whipped around and were greeted by a chalk-white face. Those slit like eyes glared at them, with a sinister smile playing on those thin lips. He was wearing a black suit, which blended in perfectly with the background.
The men stepped back slowly, maintaining a straight posture and a safety distance.
"Good news, Mr Groot. The two kids have been revived and healthy. Our plan could hatch soon, and the public shall not suspect a thing." "Good." Mr Groot turned around and poured a little bit of wine into three cups. "We shall conserve the last of our resources, even delicacies such as wine are...precious to us. My, how much do I remember the times we could've partied throughout the night...Here, shall we toast for our sure success? To the Greater Good!"
The two men chorused, "To the Greater Good!"
"Now, please leave me. I am in no state to chitchat, considering the immense workload our ancestors had entrusted me to continue on. Here..."
The doors slid open again, indicating that the audience was over. The two men backed out of the room quietly, sensing the snake-man's unfriendly aura.
If the men would look closely when the door was a gap away from fully closing, they would see that no one was in the room.
Only a pair of orbs that resembled that of a snake, reared back and prepared to attack.
And the slim, bone-thin hand, reaching towards the door, trying to stop the door closing.
They both disappeared from sight as the glided panels slammed shut.
The stars twinkled like the ones which are thousands of light years away. Year after year, day after day.

💙POV
Look...I can't live on this anymore. I'm basically pulling on a 180 something boy with me while I discover the many wonders of the space...chamber, or ship, we live in.
It's not on a daily basis that you see random stuff floating in the air, while your feet are clearly planted on the floor. Gravity apparently doesn't affect water, which only condensed into a puddle when I cup it into my hands. The cows in the...breeding known species room? They're also just chillin' around, flying over my head and mooing.
I find this extremely fascinating.
However, I can't keep my cool with a huge dog-like human just hanging on me, as though a ghost would just pop up anywhere. Pathetic.
I turned around while pushing yet another stainless panel. It didn't budge. But I wouldn't care less now because there's more pressing issues.
"Dude, I know we've been mentally shook for multiple times today, but can you just man up and act normal? I am a girl and to be frank, I'm not entirely calm as I've said before. Please, if you are going off the edge, go back to the hall out there and wait for me. You hear me? Wai—"
The boy's mouth fell apart. "What?" He pointed past me, covering his mouth in awe.
I turned my head around and saw an impressive array of buttons, suspended-see-through screens, and a huge interstellar map. In the middle, there was a map that looked like a spaceship plan, complete with level instruments and a few control sticks/consoles.
Though, that wasn't the most impressive thing.
What caught my attention was the beautiful, celestial void outside. The diamond-like sparkles were sprinkled across the dark canvas, shining, and glittering like eyes blinking. Some of them were extremely bright, some were dimmer, but when they all came together, they looked amazing.
Immediately, this place leaped to my no.1 favourite place in the whole ship.
I walked up to the interstellar map. Touching the screen softly. It glowed even brighter, as if it was reacting to my touch.
"Is...is it fully activated?" Kun stood by my side, peering over my shoulder.
Suddenly, the lamps in the room glared even brighter. Then it turned green. We both turned wildly, looking for the source. We were clueless for a few seconds but then the problem solved itself.
"Your personal flight assistant, Siri, at your service. How can I help you?"
Well...the metallic female voice only amplified our confusion.
