"Aye, ma. You go--", my voice trailed off when I saw my mom sitting at the kitchen table with her head in her hands. "Ma, you alright?", I asked softly.
She nodded before lifting her head up. "We need to talk Trey", she said while straightening her posture. I took a seat across from her and looked her dead in her eyes. "To keep things simple... Faith is pregnant, but she has been stressing alot-like ALOT, and now her health and the baby's health is on the line." , she said quietly.
"That's unfortunate, ma really, and I understand why you're concerned. But you're worried too much about Faith. You know how stubborn she is, she's a fighter. She'll come around, but where is the baby's father?"
"Sitting right across the table from me." She smiled, while still giving me the mom eye.
Wait, what? "Me, m-what? She's pregnant by...me?" I asked dumbly.
"Yeah, Trey. You left the day she found out she was pregnant.When you first left, she didn't eat for a whole week. Then when we made her eat, her attitude changed, making her easily irritated and snappy. Then, she's hide away from us in her house. She just, she really needs you Trey." Ma said, reaching over and grabbing my hand.
I jumped up from the table and ran to the door. My mom didnt say anything because I bet she knew where I was headed.
I quickly hopped in my car and sped off. I needed to see her, like my life depended on it.
------At Faith's house-----
I knocked on the door, waited a couple of seconds and repeated this until I remembered what my mom was telling me. "Faith!" I yelled banging on the door. I didnt have an extra key, but I had to get in some way. I had to see her.
