Grace woke up in an empty bed. Charlotte had left in the night, probably terrified their parents would find her in her sisters room. Grace sat up and rubbed the sleepy dust out of her eyes yawning. She didn't have a clock but she knew she hadn't slept for very long.
She started to her electric static giving her the implication her parents were home.
'Great' She thought to herself.
She stood up to see some clothes at the foot of her mattress, a pair of black ripped shorts that where a bit too big for her and a grey sweatshirt with a white strip. Grace quickly changes out of her white shirt and put on her new clothes folding her old one and leaving it by the door.
Grace laid back down on her bed to feel something underneath her pillow. She sighed after a few attempts of shuffling around to find a comfortable position, she put a hand under her pillow to find a book.
'Charlotte must have put this under my pillow as an apology for yesterday.' Grace smiled to herself.
She picked it up and opened it up to the first page, 'Once upon a time..' She started to read before hearing shouting and cheer from outside. After a few seconds of wondering what the noise was about she put her book down and looked out the window.
The 6 teenager where there with 2 of they boys kissing each other and the 4 girls cooing and cheering them on. Grace smiled at the thought of them supporting each other. She, personally, had never had a problem with people from the LGBTQ+ community but her parents had so she was never allowed to talk about them or find out more.
She was about to walk away to continue reading her book when a girl dressed in all black locked her ocean blue eyes with Grace's blood red ones.
