Uh, yes. Title, yes, I should probably make one.

Don't wage a war against somebody.

It's perfectly understandable that somebody would be mad were a story they worked hard to make be stolen or copied, but that doesn't mean that they should send their entire following, no matter how big, against that person. Try to resolve the situation with words and be civil about it. Being overdramatic will lead to more problems at the end of the day then just politely talking it out.

Why having a co-writer or a beta reader is heavenly.

While I may be a bit new to the prospect of writing with somebody else I must say that it is one of the best ways to write your story. Not only do you have somebody to correct you but you also have somebody to discuss your ideas with, which is why if possible you should get your friend/s to help write with you if they enjoy doing so. Same thing with a beta reader, if you are too lazy to re-read your own cringe then have somebody else do it for you and give you their honest opinion.

Why we need more straight Jujutsu Kaisen books.

WE NEED MORE STRAIGHT JUJUTSU KAISEN BOOKS! I mean, yes, Nobara and Maki may or may not be dead but hey, an author of fanfiction can change that since, ya know, its a fanfiction. Make a goddamn Jujutsu Kaisen x Male Reader book that's not gay, somebody, please. I may be going gay for Gojo but Maki and Nobara deserve some love too dammit.

Why you should read Houseki no Kuni.

While not necessarily a book, Houseki no Kuni or Land of The Lustrous has to be one of the best-written character development manga I have read to this date. I won't spoil you the details in here like a scrub, but I will tell you this, it will make you re-think life and have you wondering what comes next at the end of every chapter. It doesn't focus on over the top battles or training montage, instead, it focuses on the mental growth of its large cast of characters without progressing too slowly or too quickly. And to anyone reading this that wants to be inspired on how to make deep character development be more impactful or significant, go read it, this instant, you can't imagine how underrated the manga truly is.

How One Punch Man makes a boring idea interesting and why that's important.

I'm certain anyone reading this knows the plot of One Punch Man and how it heavily influenced fanfiction and other kinds of media. OPM works not only because of its more than beautiful art style but also because of its large and interesting cast of characters. While Saitama is the ever bored individual trying to make a living and being a hero for fun there's someone like Genos, a goddamn cyborg that can burn a mountain to a crisp, there's also Tatsumaki, an insanely OP esper that makes me wonder if she is related to Shigeo Kageyama and many other characters. One could say that OPM actually holds itself together through these characters, while they may seem boring at first glance, they are actually really interesting once you dwell on them. Why this is important is because it can be a great example of how to write an OP MC book and why side characters are so important.

Why you should make an update schedule for your works.

Ah yes, the bane of existence to all authors, actually updating your story. When I first made an update schedule I thought it was going to be a pain, and it sometimes is, but, it's also really, really helpful not only for your growth as an author but also for that view and follower count. It will not only force you to actually write even when you don't want to but also give the readers that are interested in the book a ray of hope that it won't be abandoned like most books are on this site.

Why lemons are more stressful to write than they seem.

Fetishes. The simplest, most true answer is fetishes. Not all people have the same kind of kink as you and that is something you have to live with, but when people start talking about the sex scene you made and how bad it was it can really hurt your confidence in actually making them. Sometimes you will find yourself writing words that you think are hot but once you actually read them they sound cringy, sometimes you will find yourself completely at a loss as to how to make a lemon that isn't generic, these are all problems everyone that ever plans to write a lemon has to deal with, so take solace in knowing you aren't the only one horny and braindead. You just have to experiment and find what fits your style, even if someone doesn't like it. There will always be somebody that will dislike what you do and that is something you just have to accept, so don't be afraid to write a lemon even if its weird, just like there will be someone hating it, there will be someone loving it. Of course, if you don't feel comfortable with writing a lemon you shouldn't do it.

Listen to readers, not obey them.

I notice that some of the new authors on Wattpad really try to listen to the feedback they receive, which is very good but I also notice how some overwork themselves trying to appeal to every single reader that commented. We all know there are people that will comment on stories and say they want things this way and they want things that way, which is fine and you should acknowledge them but you shouldn't just blindly listen to them. Not everything they say will work in your favour or in favour of your story, and you don't have to try your hardest to make just one more person happier at the cost of your story and your own ideas that you may have planned for the future. You should always read and acknowledge the comments left on your stories, yes, even the "Please update" ones. But, for the love of god don't torture yourself by being someone else's bitch.

Saying "please update" helps self-esteem, sometimes.

Dear readers, yes, you the ones reading this and my future works, I don't mind you saying "please update", but please do so sparingly and don't spam it on everything. Saying that you want to see the next chapter and that you enjoy the story can be a great morale boost and can increase the speed at which the author writes because they are happy, but if you keep annoying them with these comments they will just get irritated and will only prolong the waiting period for the next chapter.
