'Leave me alone, leave me alone, leave me alone...' Rhys repeated inside his head, he wanted the male before him to simply keep on walking. To not pay attention to him, but that's not normally how it went. He looked down at the blank paper on his desk. 'Ah, maybe if he sees that I'm working he'll leave me be. The only problem is the paper is blank... quick fix..' He thought quickly and he wiped his hand over his paper, right when his skin left the paper words appeared. Science notes had been scribbled down. Normally Rhys didn't like using his special abilities for small pointless tasks such as this, but he didn't want Andrew messing with him that morning.

Andrew glanced at the science notes on Rhys's desk. 'He sees them.' Rhys analyzed without looking in Andrew's direction. Rhys tried to seem like he was busy, he looked down more at the notes on his desk. His white hair fell in front of his eyes. Andrew took the hint and passed on without disturbing Rhys. Rhys let out a small sigh of relief under his breath.

Rhys Winal. A senior in high school. A tall skinny boy with naturally white hair. His hair was messy and slightly wavy. His hair was cut in a simple style, falling naturally all over his head. His hair stopped at his ears, a few strands curled around the outside of his ears as well. Messy yet trendy and put together all at the same time. He had been born with white hair, to pass off as normal his parents labeled it as a birth defect but in reality, it was because Rhys wasn't normal at all. He had certain abilities, that to his knowledge, no one else had. Only his parents knew and he planned to keep it that way.

The loud ring of the school bell brought him out of his thoughts, 'Time to go.' He exited the classroom and went to his locker, grabbing his scarf. It was a little chilly out, upon his estimates a scarf should be perfect. No hat needed, just a scarf would do, according to his calculations. His scarf was a deep plum color, handmade by his grandmother before she passed away. He felt no grief, he hadn't really known the woman. 'At least she seemed to care about my warmth.' Once the scarf was securely wrapped around his neck, comfy too, he began to exit the building.

"Hey! Dude!" The words, obviously directed at him, made him freeze. 'Damn it, I almost made it out peacefully,' He complained to himself as he slowly turned to face the nuisance. It was Andrew. 'Of course, I should have known he would try to catch up with me after class since we didn't get to chat in class.' His own rush to get out of school had been the end of him.

Andrew Dall. Also a senior in highschool. He was much shorter than Rhys and also much skinner. Sometimes Rhys wondered if he even ever ate anything. Andrew was bones while Rhys was a healthy skinny. Andrew had navy blue hair, dyed of course unlike Rhys's, in an undercut style. A student with average grades, but who could probably get above average if they actually cared.

With a few huffs, Andrew had caught up to Rhys. "What?" Was all Rhys said, he knew it sounded snappy but he wanted to just go home already. Andrew started to casually walk beside the other. "The anniversary is coming up, you know?" Andrew murmured. Rhys stiffened once again, he didn't want to have this conversation. "Yes, I know. We are doing the same thing we did last year." Rhys said, trying to show as little emotion in his sentence as possible. "Well... I thought maybe you and your family would want to have dinner at my place? You know I'm here for you." The bluehead said, trying to help the best he could. Rhys simply shook his head. "I prefer to be alone on that day. Now go home." Was the last thing Rhys said before picking up his pace, leaving Andrew on his own.

'Home at last...' A smile almost formed on his lips, but he decided not to allow it. With a clear of his throat, the almost peaked smile was gone. His hand rested on the doorknob for a moment, where his parents home? If they were, Rhys would simply teleport to his room to avoid them by walking through the front door. He closed his eyes for a moment, not a second later he opened his eyes. He didn't detect anyone inside the house. They were out, the house was his.

Rhys entered the house through the front door. 'Finally, peace and quiet.' He thought. He quickly made his way to the kitchen, looking through the fridge. After a moment of debate he decided on a fruit cup, the cup consisted of pears, peaches, and other various slices. Taking a seat on the couch, he began to eat. Using a spoon that was clean and polished perfectly.

The smell of the fruit must have attracted it, or maybe his presence, but Rhys knew he didn't want the thing around as the family dog, Ree, jumped up on the couch beside him. "Mm..." Rhys considered his options, he disliked the dog greatly. Why? Well because the dog always made a mess in his room or with his things, only him. No one else in the family received the same kind of treatment from the dog. Yet the dog didn't show aggressiveness towards Rhys, in fact the dog acted happy around him. "You've made a mess in my room, haven't you?" He found himself talking aloud to the dog. Of course no answer was received, but nonetheless he got up and climbed the stairs to his room. His nose scrunched up, seeing the newly made damage. A book had been shredded. He kneeled down and picked the book up, curious on which one the dog had chosen to destroy. "Mythology." He stated aloud. "Dang, I liked that edition." Rhys grumbled. He picked up the shredded bits, tossing them in his trash bin.

The next day was Saturday, No school or classes. For once, Rhys had plans. He had decided, with a little forceful shove from his parents, to go to a small festival in town with Andrew and some other buddies. It was warmer that day, nice and sunny. Rhys decided to wear a grey t-shirt with a simple red dragon on the back, some black pants, and his white shoes. He put his wallet in his pocket as well so he could buy food and such.

The festival was small, but had a pretty decent sized crowd. People all around. There were four different food stands to choose from, a few small games for children, and some people selling various things. These simple small festivals were often held once a month. Anyone was welcome. Not long after his arrival he found Andrew and a few other classmates who tagged along. "How about we get food first?" One of Andrew's friends asked. Everyone simply didn't care either way or wanted food, so the small group made their way to the food stands. Rhys wasn't super hungry but he would get himself a small snack. He decided on a glass of lemonade and a small order of fries. He tilted his head when he saw Andrew sit beside him, he only had ordered a glass of flavored water. "Hm? Do you need some cash to get food? I can give you some." Rhys offered, he had money to spare from allowance and his after school job. Andrew quickly shook his head. "Oh, no. I have plenty of money on me. I just don't want to eat right now." He replied. Rhys eyed Andrew suspiciously. 'I bet he hasn't eaten anything before he came.' He thought. Andrew sighed and looked away from Rhys. Rhys still wasn't fully sure of what he thought was going on so he didn't want to push anything just yet. "Alright, well at least drink some water." He said finally before getting up to throw away his garbage.

The group had finished their food and drinks, a few people split off from the group and went off in their own direction but Andrew, Rhys, and two other classmates stayed together. "Where are we heading first?" Rhys asked no one in particular. "I think we should hit up the market stands. Maybe you'll find some good books, Rhys." Andrew replied, the small food halt out of his mind for now. Rhys gave a small nod, he was right. The vendors usually had some pretty decent items spread upon the table. The small cluster spread themselves amongst the different tables, but Andrew stayed by Rhys. Rhys soon found his hands on a book, it looked to be in good condition. He turned it over in his hands, inspecting it. The book was about some sort of mysterious woods. He simply shrugged and paid the man.

"Have you found anything yet, Andrew?" Rhys asked, glancing back at him. "I don't think so." He replied, books didn't interest him too much. 'Maybe he should pick up a new hobby. Entertain his head for a bit.' Rhys thought and looked over at another table, searching for something his friend might enjoy. "Maybe you should try this." Rhys said picking up an origami kit, it was meant for children but it didn't matter. The small box came with the paper needed and a little book. Andrew viewed the item, was worth a try. Maybe he would actually enjoy folding the papers. With a small smile, Andrew purchased the kit.

"Mnnngh!" Rhys suddenly drew in a breath, the somewhat pained noise escaped his mouth. He quickly dropped to the grassy floor, hunching over. He shielded his head with his hands, gripping his white hair. Pain, all he felt was pain. He couldn't see anything around him but he could hear the faint concerned voices of the people around him. Andrew was kneeled down beside him. "Rhys, Rhys, Rhys..." He whispered quietly trying to get him to calm down or something. Anything. Noises pumped in his ears, the feeling of a crowd of people around his hunched over body. He couldn't get his body to get up, everything felt heavy. Including his chest. Once he realized how heavy his chest felt, he began to panic. 'Hard to breathe, I can't-' He thought rapidly. Soon everything went black.
