Chapter 13: The Seasonal Island

Nox's statue was shining when Arine and Marvin were outside. The Graydown ring was glowing too, which meant it was night. Marvin said that they had to do this at night because the seasonal process took time and during night it could do that while everyone was asleep. 

Arine and Marvin had sneaked by Eden's bedroom door, making sure she was there and couldn't hear them. Marvin had left a note on the dining table saying:

Dear Eden,

I know you have commanded us not to leave outside to the Seasonal Island, and I am prepared for many punishments after this. But you must know I have to do this. The seasons must be restored before it is too late. I promise me and Arine will try to come home as fast as we can.

P.S. We cleaned the kitchen

Both Arine and Marvin were nervous to leave outside. Marvin kept on asking Arine about the note, which she didn't have a response to. 

"Is the note good enough?" Marvin asked worriedly.

"I don't know. I suppose so." Arine replied. 

"Should I leave another note?"

"I'm not sure."

"I have a bad feeling about this and I am very much so afraid."

"Me too! We all are!"

"Eden's gonna kill us." 

"Let's hope we survive in this journey before she does so."

Arine and Marvin had went out the backyard, going near the garden and stopped.

"And now we Time Travel there," Marvin touched the ring on his finger. "But we must do it together for my powers are not too strong currently and I will need your to fully Time Travel there once." 

"Okay," Arine said. "But I need you to describe the Seasonal Island to me. I cannot Time Travel without knowing a place's surroundings."

Marvin gave her a half smile. "We all need to know the surroundings of a place to Time Travel. It's why it's best to go with multiple people when in a mission."

"We're in a mission?"

"You can call it that," Marvin looked at his ring and closed his eyes. "The Seasonal Island has walls with all colors of the seasons; red, white, pink and golden. There is a fountain, and there is this sort of inner wall that has a blank area to put the ring in and a thin tube that goes up to release the power."

Arine made a visual picture in her mind with the information Marvin gave her. She saw Marvin reaching for her hand and she took it. The ring on his finger felt cool on her skin. 

"Okay, close your eyes now." Marvin instructed.

Arine shut her eyes and continued to think of the Seasonal Island. Arine opened her eyes to find herself and Marvin in flying air. She screamed. 

"Why are we here?" Arine panicked.

"Not to worry," Marvin assured. "2 person Time Travel usually gets confusing, but we'll be back on land soon."

"Er...how long does that usually take?" 

"Um..." 

Arine forgot that in Tempus time wasn't measured but she was filled with anxiety so she couldn't think of that at the moment. 

Eventually she felt the pressure of descending and was relieved, until the clouds cleared and where they were landing became more visible. They were landing straight into a fountain.
