Louis POV

Another day in Hell. I've been through my rounds of being pushed into lockers and beatings in the bathroom for the day. Everything here was routine. I wake up, I go to school, I go through constant beatings throughout the day, go home, then repeat. My only safe refuge are my dreams. I love to dream. I dream about so many things that make me happy. I've even dreamt that one day, I'll find Mr. Right.
I've finally made it to lunch period. I mustered up as much courage as I could and decided that I want to go out of my bubble and try to make a friend. I went to the courtyard during lunch period and saw a girl sitting alone on a bench under a tree.
I walked over to her and sat down. I smiled at her when she looked up at me from her book. She rolled her eyes, closed her book, packed her bag, and left. I felt so terrible. I knew I shouldn't have ever done this. All courage I had was gone and I retreated into my shell.
I was about to get up and leave to find some dark corner and cry or sit quietly, until a tall boy with chocolate brown curls, a thin figure, big hands, and striking mossy green eyes sat down next to me. He sent a smile my way, showing his shining, straight teeth and two very deep dimples on either side of his smile. My breath hitched at how fucking gorgeous and beautiful he was. My courage was completely drained and it sent me a little deeper into my shell.
He took out a notebook from his backpack and began writing notes in it. I can't screw this up. I thought to myself. You don't get a second chance on a first impression.
"Hello." I said to him, but received no response. "Hi." I spoke up a little more sternly. I grew irritated and knew it was just another person trying to ignore me. "Are you seriously try to ignore me?!" I snapped.
He looked up from his notes and looked at me and smiled. He put his notebook down in his lap and said something to me in sign language.
I sat there completely shocked and dumbfounded with my jaw dropping to the floor. I felt so terrible for snapping at him.
"I'm so sorry." I said about to get up.
I packed my bag and started to get up. Then I felt a strong arm grab my right arm and pulled me back. I turned around and looked into his eyes. I saw them filled with desperation and pleading. I sighed and sat down and looked at him.
"I'm so sorry for snapping at you. I didn't realize you were deaf. I thought you were trying to ignore me just like everyone else." I said. He smiled and picked up his notebook. He flipped it to a new, blank page in his notebook. He took out his pencil and wrote something down on it. After he was done, he put down his pencil and tilted his notebook towards me.
"I'm Harry Styles. What's your name?"  He asked. I grabbed the pencil from him and took the notebook. I began writing.
"That's a beautiful name. I'm Louis Tomlinson. Pronounced 'Lou-eee.' :)" I wrote. I handed him back his notebook and he looked at it. I looked at him and saw him blush. He look so cute when he blushes. But my smile fell when I came to the realization that he's probably not gay.
I was snapped out of my thoughts and jumped slightly when he put his notebook in my lap.
"You have a beautiful smile. I'm deaf, obviously. I've been deaf for 10 years ever since a certain accident. I wish I wasn't so I could hear your beautiful voice. I bet it's lovely." He said.
I felt my cheeks get hot and a smile found its way onto my face. I'm nothing special.
The notebook fell into my lap again and I read the intricate hand writing. "You're special to me."
I looked at him in confusion. Then reality hit me.
"Did I say that out loud?" I asked covering my mouth.
        He smiled and nodded.
"C-can you read lips?" I asked. He nodded again.
"That's so cool!" I exclaimed. He laughed out loud and covered his mouth.
"Your laugh is absolutely gorgeous" I told him. He blushed and tried hiding his blush.
The bell rang, signaling the end of the lunch period and the conversation. I didn't want to leave though. This boy was absolutely gorgeous though.
