The next few weeks seemed endless to them all, Cyn as she went to work every morning and bought nice clothes every weekend, David at Florida on a business trip.
He left San Francisco two days after he got the beautiful ring and couldn't wait to slide it into her finger. David was urged to have done it at the airport before leaving but something deep down of him stopped him.
David called Cyn as often as he could and she did as well too. While he was there, each day was productive and lively for him, but he was suddenly lonely and craving for... Cynthia.
From his point of view, he remembered how her blue eyes searched his face every time as though asking if he'd love her forever.
David was terribly missing her, though he didn't give her the full attention she needed in the past few weeks before he traveled. He promised himself never for any reason do it again.
Only the day Cyn visited him was a little different. David was alive then. They both spent the night huddled in a chair, laughing, imagining their future together, and later that night, she did some cheer leading moves for him, wearing his sweater.
He remembered how tiny she looked in it... beautiful.. cheerful, he began to smile at her image. Everything had flown from his head, there was nothing left. Except his head, swimming in Cyn's images... and her words and voice.
He took his phone and decided to text her, to know how she was and how her day had been. He needed to keep the love burning and he wanted her to know that.
Words didn't come easily. How should he text it? I love you, but I want you to leave my mind... Am always afraid to lose you, but your thoughts are overwhelming and distracting... go away... just go... He grinned at the thought but then tried to serious.
He wanted to make it go easy and romantic, he knew how girls go crazy about romantic texts with colorful emojis. And so it took him a minute or more to find words and to text.

Her phone made a sharp note tone while she was sitting in the bathtub. She reached for it and clicked on the message and a long paragraph popped up.
...hey babe, lol, you know am not really good at writing long texts but here's from me to you.
She laughed lightly at the way he began. Obviously, he wasn't good at it.
I seem relieved texting it anyways cos here, I can't seem to control my thoughts anymore. How are you, Cyn? I miss you. A day spent without you is incomplete. I feel my heart aching at the thought of not being next to you and I hope it stops in the next few hours. Tbh, I can't do anything properly here, my hands are tied. I just put them under my chin thinking about you all day. Darling just go away, go away from my mind, let me do my job here in peace. Oh no, it's impossible. You can't leave. You're stucked already with me. I just want you to know that I love you, will always do and never stop doing. And I promise to give you my heart's devotion.
