Chapter 3: Kill the Intruder

Ben, Leone, Lubbock, and Tatsumi arrived at the capital's entrance.

"So you three know the plan??" Ben asked his comrades one more time before entering the capital, then splitting up to not draw attention to themselves.

Tatsumi had signed up for the tournament, while Ben, Leone, and Lubbock watched over him from the distance incase the Jaegers intercepted him.

Tatsumi nodded towards the figure hidden on a building above him which then disappeared making him walk away from sign up table.

Lubbock opened a door to a shop and walked over to a locked door and knocked on it. When Leone opened the door, "What took you so long Lub???"

"Imperial Soldiers are all over the place. I had to take the abandoned roads to be safe." Lubbock said walking down the stairs followed by Leone, "Are Benji and Tatsumi here yet???"

He opened the door to see a boy with a black shirt and green gauntlet attached to his left arm then a boy with brown hair and cloak sitting on the couch.

"What took you so long Lubbock???" Tatsumi asked the green haired boy who arrived.

"Imperial soldiers, so Tatsumi when's the tournament???" Lubbock asked shortening his story then asking when the event started.

"It starts in 2 hours." Tatsumi says nervous about the tournament, "Esdeath herself is gonna be there to watch the tournament."

"Don't worry if your revealed as a member of Night Raid we'll immediately hop into action." Ben said which Leone and Lubbock agreed to.

"Thanks guys. How'd the search go?? See anyone from the Jaegers????" Tatsumi asked.

"Yeah I saw Wave and Kurome." Lubbock replied, "If I had a wanted poster they'd kill me within a split second, but thankfully they didn't even acknowledge my existence."

"That's good, but we gotta try to keep our existence as low as possible, so they don't notice us." Ben replied to which made everyone nod.

"Ben's right, if we keep our heads down. Tatsumi might even win that tournament." Leone smiled widely.

"And if things go South, I'll do whatever it takes to protect you guys even if it costs me my life." Ben said which made them smile.

"Thanks Benji, but remember if you die we'll have to deal with an angry and depressed Akame." Lubbock said teasing him. Ben blushed hearing Akame's name, but knew Lubbock is right.

"Alright guys we should get moving." Leone said seriously, "Remember sit in different areas to avoid suspicion. Tatsumi you leave first, Lubbock after him, Ben you'll leave after me."

"Wish me luck guys." Tatsumi smiled before leaving up the stairs. We waited 10 minutes then Lubbock got up.

"Alright guys I'll meet you inside stay safe." Causing both Leone and Ben to nod. He went up the stairs and left. Another 10 minutes and it was Leone's turn.

"Alright Benji, stay safe. Avoid the Jaegers even if it means you having to sneak in to watch." Leone responded to the Ultimatrix user.

"Don't worry, I have my ways to get inside." Ben replied with a smirk causing Leone to nod. Ben watched his friend walk up the stairs and waited 10 minutes till it was his turn to leave.

It had been 10 minutes and Ben walked up the stairs and out the first door, before making it to the next one. He opened it and looked around incase anyone was watching him, but no one was. He closed the door and walked towards the arena the tournament was being hosted in.  He paid for his ticket with the money Leone had given him before she left and walked straight in. He took a seat by some people who were conversing with the people sitting next to them.
