My lips locked with hers, my hands grazing down to her neck, pulling her in. She moaned at the slight touch, moving closer to me. She closed her eyes and sighed.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, I released my lips from hers. She blushed and put her hands on my chest. She smirked up at me and I smirked down at her.

"Wow. You're a really good kisser," she purred.

I smirked even more, blushing a little. I pecked her lips again, this time the kiss being a soft one, a delicate one. She moved her hands up to my neck and shoulders. I moved mine down to her waist as she released her lips from mine.

"Well, I've never kissed a girl before, except you, of course," I explained.

"Aww. Did you wait all this time to kiss me?" She smirked.

I blushed and looked down at my feet. "Maybe. I always wanted to," I confessed.

She giggled and kissed me again, this time just a quick but delicate kiss.

"But, Slappy," she asked, "why do you love me? I mean, I'm not even that pretty. I'm not the most beautiful girl ever. And I try to wear makeup, so I'm not even half as pretty as the other girls-"

"But you are beautiful!" I interrupted. "Ann, you are the prettiest, most beautiful girl in the world! No other girl could ever compete! No jewel, or a diamond necklace, or any makeup could compete."

"Slappy, are you serious?" She said, blushing.

"Of course I am!" I claimed. "You don't need makeup or jewelry or pretty dresses to impress anyone! Because a true man would see you for the way you are: beautiful in every way."

She blushed and smiled up at me. I smiled down at her as well and she giggled.

"Oh, Slappy," She stammered, "that's the sweetest, most amazing thing anyone has ever said to me. You really did write those love letters from the heart, didn't you?"

I nodded sheepishly. She giggled. "I did. Why, did you think I didn't mean anything I said in them?" I wondered, smiling.

She shrugged. "I just thought you were like every other guy in the schools, always using me or something. I didn't think you meant everything you said in those poems."

I tilted my head at her in amusement. "Of course I meant every word. They came straight from my heart," I mused.

She smiled and looked down at the ground. I heard someone clear their throat and turned around to see Wally standing at the doorway smirking.

"You two love-birds better wrap it up because Papa just called and said he's coming home," he said, looking both of us up and down. "Before you two start-up something and get me in trouble, if you get my drift."

I rolled my eyes and then blushed at the comment he made. Annabelle giggled and I looked over at her. Wally snickered and walked back downstairs. I sighed and smiled.

"I guess I should be going now," Annabelle announced. "Before your Papa sees us together."

"Yeah. I'll walk you to the door," I said. I gently grabbed her hand and walked her downstairs.

My heart was pounding in my throat as I walked with her down the stairs. I couldn't contain my excitement, my love, my hopefulness. I couldn't believe I had done it. I couldn't believe I confessed my love for Annabelle. After all of the years, I had spent being afraid, she had loved me back. I couldn't say or explain my excitement.

And as I held her hand, walking her towards the front door, I couldn't help but smile brightly and squeeze her hand a little tighter. She squeezed it right back, smiling and blushing as I lead her to the front door.

"Well," I said, opening the door and holding it for her, "thank you for coming over. It was hard to confess like that, to be honest. After nine years of hiding it, you kinda get scared to show affection."

She giggled and I chuckled back. "You always were a little suspicious back then and when I started dating Red."

I blushed and smirked at her. "Yeah. You know, I was super jealous of him. I wanted so much to be with you. But I could bring up the courage to tell you," I admitted.

"Well, I'm glad you did today. I'm proud of you, Slappy. And your love letters throughout the years helped me get through so much stuff," she clarified.

I smiled and gave her one last peck on the lips. She blushed and kissed my cheek.

"I love you, Ann," I expressed. "I love you so much more than anything."

"Aww, I love you too, Slappy," she cooed.

Wally cleared his throat from behind us again. "We get it. You're both in love, alright? Some of us don't have partners."

I rolled my eyes and Annabelle giggled. She walked out the door and I slowly blew her a kiss. She caught it playfully and put it to her cheek. I smiled and slowly closed the door. When I looked away from the door, Wally smirked and crossed his arms over his chest.

"What?" I said, confused.

"You really did it? You confessed?" He asked.

"Yeah, I did," I admitted. "Why do you care so much?"

Wally put up his hands in defense. "Hey, I'm your brother, Slaps. It's my job!"

I rolled my eyes and headed upstairs. I swung open the door and laid down on my bed. I couldn't contain my laughter and cheerfulness. I cheered with joy and pride! I did it!
