Emily and Ruby

Emily's POV
"Mommy!"
Emily whips around to pick up Ruby and kiss her good morning
"Good morning baby"
"Morning mommy"
"What are we doing today mommy?"
"Well mommy has to go to work but you're gonna stay with Declan and the nanny" Emily says as she puts her daughters hair behind her ears
"Nooo i wanna stay with Garcia!" Ruby whines
"What do you want for breakfast Ruby" emily says as she is putting Ruby down
"Umm pancakes!"
Ruby runs and jumps onto the couch and
Emily rushes over to the kitchen to start breakfast
"Ruby!" Emily yells from the kitchen
"Whattt"
"Was that an attitude i heard?" As she stirs the pancake batter
Ruby slides down on the couch smirking "noo"
"Well run upstairs and pack your things i have to drop you off with the nanny and still get to work on time"
"But i dont wanna go with the nanny mommy, why do you always leave me?!"
"Ruby we've talked about this. Come on if you're good today you can come with me tomorrow"
"Okayy" ruby sighs and runs upstairs to her room
Emily loves taking her daughter to work with her but it can be distracting and the nanny can be more convenient, also with the nanny Ruby can spend time with her half brother.
"Okay breakfast is ready!" Emily says while placing the plate on the table with some fruit and water
Ruby comes running down the stairs with her stuff
"Hey!!" Emily yells at Ruby "stop running" emily gives her the look
Emily can be very protective with Ruby, she is her only child and the most important person in her life. She would do anything for her kid.
"Sowyy, i got my stuff packed!" Setting the bag on the floor and sitting at the table to start eating
Emily rushes back upstairs to get herself ready
"Mommy why aren't you eating?"
"I dont have time right now baby, you eat! I'll be back"
Once they're both ready she buckles up ruby and hops in the car and heads off to the nannys. No one knows where the nannys is except Emily, its the best way to keep her daughter safe.
Rubys POV
me and mommy are going to my nannys place because i have to stay there while she is at work, i miss her while she is gone but sometimes i get to go to work with her she just wants me to be safe, and im safest at my nannys.
I look out the window most of the ride because mommy has a work call
"Mommy can i have my ipad"
Emily reaches into her purse and gives her daughter the tablet
"Only till we get there" mommy says
"Otayy"
I like playing this fair food game and candy game but I decided to call my moms friend from work... well he's my friend too. |Ruby puts her airpods in|
Hey weid!
"Reid!! Baby say R-Reid" emily teaches Ruby
"Haha hey Ruby, i cant talk long, but what are you up to?" Questions Reid
"Oh mommy is just taking me to nannys im gonna play with declan today. Mommy said i cant come to see you today"
"Ahem actually you asked to see Garcia" emily jokes
"Ooh i see how it is" reid giggles
"Whatever mommy you know what i meant"
"Haha okay say bye bye to reid we're pulling in!!"
"Byee weidd!"
"Bye spencer i should be there in about 20min" emily states
"Alright bye ruby love ya"

I grab my bag and run in. My mommy is yelling at me to slow down but i had too much energy
"Wooahh slow down Ru!" Nanny yells as i run in the door
"I already told her once" emily says sternly
Declan!! I yell coming into the living room where he is watching tv.
"Ru!!" Declan says ecstatic
What are you watching?
"Oh just some animal planet" says Declan
"Heyy Declan buddy, how are you today?" Emily says walking in with the nanny
"Hey Em me and nanny have just been watching tv today"
"Ooh well as fun as that sounds i have a new game for you and Ruby to try out and you're gonna have to let me know how it goes!"
"Oh cool!" Declan says
"Well i really need to get to work" emily says walking over to the couch picking up Ruby and squeezing her tight
"Dont leave mommy"
"Ooh im sorry baby i have to, but i promise you're safe here and you and Declan are gonna have so much fun!" Says mommy
"Bye mommy" i said sadly
"Bye baby mommy loves you so so much, and I'll be back before you know it"
"What time?" Says ruby
"Dont put a time on it baby just know i will be back as soon as i can"
"Promise?" I ask
"I promise baby" says mommy
Emily says her goodbyes and heads out the door, its her least favorite part of any day.
Emily's POV
Emily pulls into the parking garage, locks her car, swipes her card and walks into the BAU where she is an FBI agent in Quantico,VA.
"Heyy look who's here" jj says as emily walks out the elevator
"No Ruby today?" Says jj
"No, not today" i say
Me and jj open the door and head to our desks
"I dont know i just feel she is so much safer there, but she loves coming to see y'all and it makes me nervous when she is here because i dont think its safe" i say to JJ
"Well you're not wrong but you have to break out of that shell, your daughter has to break out at one point she cant always stay with that nanny emily. Declan isn't your kid and he may not be able to see her everyday much longer, what are you gonna do if they get split up? She has no other friends emily" JJ says concerned
"I dont know JJ i mean she will always have me and well she has henry! And reid! And everyone else here we are all a family here too" i say
"Emily!" Says JJ
"JJ i cant i just cant" emily says knowing she wants her to put Ruby into school
"What if she learns here with Henry?!" I say
Henry takes online courses here at the BAU on another floor with a tutor jj hired for him
"That's something" says jj
"She'll be here and I can see her anytime i want without getting too distracted!" I say
jj gives me a look
"What?!"
"Emily twice a day, you can go see her twice a day" says jj
"Yeah, yeah i can do that"
"Ok" jj says
They both sit at they're desks and start reviewing files and emails
Rubys POV (meanwhile back at the nannys)
"GOTCHA!!"
"Not fair!"
"Ya-huhhh i tagged you! Which means i win!" I shout
"Not againn!" Declan sighs
"Lunch is ready!" Yells the nanny
"Coming!!" The kids shout
Emilys POV (back to the BAU)
"Hey i would like to hire a tutor for my daughter"
