Chapter 25

I woke up in the morning feeling ridiculously sore but also safe. I looked back at everything that happened last night and shivered. I tried to sit up but was trapped by a set of muscular arms. I looked at the naked chest in front of my face, admiring the planes of his pecs. I shook my head, now was not the time to be ogling the boy in front of me. I looked up to Nathan's face. He looked so cute with his hair sticking up all over the place. I poked him in his cheek. He mumbled something but didn't wake so I kept poking him until he did. He groaned, opening his eyes. "Good morning." I said. 

"Mhmm." Was all the response that I got making me giggle, "You're cute when you giggle." He said. His eyes were half open. I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks. "And when you blush." He dragged a finger down the side of my face. I winced from the slight pain. "Sorry." He brushed his hand through his hair. I noticed his knuckles.

"Your knuckles," I frowned. "I'm sorry."

"Nothing to be sorry for. I've been in plenty of fights." He sighed. "This is nothing you need to apologize for. I'm glad you called me last night." His jaw tensed. "I'd rather have you call me than Zachary." I put my hand on his chest. He visibly relaxed and placed a hand on top of mine. "We need to talk." I sighed, nodding my head. I knew the questions that he would ask but he deserved answers. "I'm gonna jump in the shower. You're welcome to join me." He winked at me. I blushed and looked down at my hands. He laughed, kissed the top of my head, and went into the bathroom. While he was in the shower in looked at my arms. They were red. I remembered the feeling of my father's hands. I shivered.

I went over to Nathan's window. I opened the curtains and looked outside. The sun was shining and outside looked so beautiful. I sighed as I watched the birds and the clouds in the sky. I heard the bathroom door open behind me. I turned to see Nathan with a towel hung around his hips. His body looked so good fresh out of the shower. His abs looked good enough to lick. My eyes traveled lover and I noticed that he had that 'sex v' that guys had. He cleared his throat. My eyes snapped to his face. He was smirking "Like what you see." I winked at him and giggled. He laughed his deep, resonating laugh that gave me shivers down my spine. I had only heard it a few times. I turned around so that he could change. "There's an extra toothbrush that you can use to brush your teeth.

"Thank you." I went into the bathroom to find the toothbrush next to the sink. I gasped when I looked in the mirror. My cheek was purple and swollen. I put toothpaste on the bristles and started brushing my teeth, gripping the counter. Nathan joined me with only sweatpants on, resting his hand on top of mine. He looked so good. We looked at each other in the mirror. I looked down at our hands. I brought my eyes up to the mirror again, meeting his. He made a face; I made one back. We continued this for a few minutes before we both broke into laughter.

"Nate!" I heard the voice of a little boy as Nathan's bedroom door opened. A blur of sandy brown hair rushed into the bathroom and attacked Nathan's legs. "Nate!" I could only guess that this was his little brother. He was so excited to see his big brother. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

"Troy what did I say about my room?" Nathan picked Troy up, placing the boy on his hip.

"Always knock before coming in." Troy had a big toothy smile on his face as Nathan ruffled his hair.

"That's right buddy." Nathan looked at his brother with the most adoring face. It was sweet. For a second I imagined Nathan holding our child before I shook that image out of my head and blushed.

"Nate, who's that?" Troy pointed at me, looking at me with wide black eyes.

"That's Diamond, she's someone special to me so be nice to her okay?" Troy fidgeted. Nathan placed him on the floor. Troy came up to me and tugged on Nathan's shirt that I was wearing. I knelt down to his level.
