"Nice," Shadow yawned. "What's next?"
"Well, on operations or in pursuit we usually hide our face behind a mask to not be found by face," said Peter and pointed at the corner with several masks. "Pick whichever you like."
Shadow has tried on a simple gas mask and realized it was quite uncomfortable. So he disagreed: "Why do I have to wear one? You guys are residents and I am incognito. I'm not in the system and (I hope) only Bagley can track me. So I think I shall refuse"
Bagley agreed on it and Peter, scratching his head trying to analyze it, just shrugged and went on his business."Alright. You have a map and, well, tasks which we'll assume are necessary for us in your Optik, so you may go out and just look around at first. Do whatever you want actually, just try to not get killed," advised Bagley.
Shadow smiled and went the same way.
He went outside and breathed in the fresh polluted city air. Somebody could say he was wondering pointlessly, but he did have a point. He was getting used to the interface he now always saw: all people's data, info about cars around and hacking options for drones and other electronics — this all was mindblowing for a person unused to it. More, he was exploring the city and the electronics which the phone offered him to hack.
Finally, he jumped up a roof and suggested that he needs different tactics to help people.
"Alright, the city's too big. I can't help everyone personally, like I did previously, I should destroy big evil organizations first, starting from small branches. My new friends should be helpful, seems like they are on my side. I can trust them, even though they aren't always kind to individuals and are awful thieves as there is ATM hack function in the phone (I bet they don't hesitate to use it). And Bagley is a smart... guy, I definitely need him."
He was talking to himself aloud, considering nobody heard him. He was wrong.
"Thanks for that, and I'd say I love your logic," said Bagley. Shadow jumped up by surprise. "Just don't forget I'm always online, just in case. I'll tell nobody if I hear something personal, but just... keep that in mind."
Shadow puffed. "I definitely gotta get used to it."
"By the way, if you want to have a gun, just say and I'll drop you a shock pistol with a drone. Also I forgot to give you a spiderbot. I can give an invisibility module instead if you want, I just need a bit more data — you can get it at those green points marked on your map."
"Invisibility... sounds cool. Ok, I see one of those just a little away, let me get it."
"Also, a tip for you: cargo drones can be used to fly yourself on top of it"
"Thanks." Shadow dashed towards the marked point, knocking out several securities on his way, and finally got the needed stuff.
"You didn't leave me time to tell you it's secured but, well... Now do you actually need the module?" Said Bagley.
"Stealth is always useful," Shadow answered.
"Alright, one more and in a few minutes I'll be ready."Shadow visited another similar location and took another piece of data.
"Alright, give me five minutes."
Shadow jumped on a roof again and noticed there was an icon with painting brush on the map on the roof near him. Bagley told him it is a place to paint a propaganda poster to attract people to revolution (against those organizations) and regain their respect to DedSec.
Shadow decided to try this out, even though he haven't ever drawn anything. Bagley sent him several versions of how the poster can look like, Shadow chose the one he liked and Optik showed him exactly what to do.
In five minutes the poster was ready and it looked great... though a bit like a computer has drawn it — sharp and exact lines.
A drone with a parcel dropped one in front of Shadow and flew away. He opened it and pulled a small device out of it."Here's the invisibility chip," explained Bagley. "It uses AR technology to hide you for several seconds. After that it needs to recharge for about thrice the cloak time. Though AR means it unfortunately doesn't work for people without Optik, which means it's useless in other dimensions I suppose, but here gladly you are the only one without it"
"That's a pity," said Shadow, and attached the device onto his neck chain.
Also there was a shock pistol in the parcel. Shadow rolled his eyes and put it in his bosom at least to not leave it there laying around. Bagley explained that it had a good silencer so that it can only be heard in 10 feet radius. Shadow though assumed he will barely use it as he has his keyblades.
